About

Published by Julia Stainton

My name is Julia Stainton and am a rubber stamp artist and papercraft concept designer. I started this blog to share my designs, and ideas with others who enjoy papercrafting. A busy, stay at home mom of 5 lovely children, I have been married for 18 wonderful years. We live in a century farmhouse in Canada and always seem to be undergoing a renovation. I’ve been a crafter all my life and I started scrapbooking about 5 years ago. Discovering a lot of rubber stamping in the scrapbook layouts, I was intrigued and just had to give it a try. It didn’t take me long to get hooked. I found Stampin Up in March 2004 and after discovering Splitcoaststampers.com I found I really enjoyed sharing my work in an on-line gallery. In March 2005 I created a weekly challenge on SCS and have recently completed our 100th challenge. I finished a 9 month rotation as a Splitcoaststampers.com Fan club designer in February 2007. What an exciting experience. In December 2006 I started submitting my designs for publication and have had some success in that new venture. My first 5 designs came into print in May 2007. I’ve been enjoying having quite a few other designs published since with more in the upcoming months. Since April 2007, I have been part of the Lizzie Anne Designs Design Team…a fabulous new stamp company. Another opportunity  really enjoy is writing reviews as a staff reporter for Craft Critique. I’m having a great time writing articles and reviews on various products and crafting ideas. Since November I’ve been working for Cornish Heritage Farms as their design team coordinator. It has been a real privilege to work with such a great stamp company and teams of designers.

I am so happy to have discovered your blog. I only found SCS a year ago and from the first day I was drawn to your artwork. I review your gallery on a regular basis and my favorites is about 50% Julie S. 50% everyone else. I’m looking forward to receiving your blog on a regular basis. Congrats on your upcoming publications.

    Hi,

I read a lot of blogs. I’m about addicted to them as I am addicted to rubberstamping. But your blog is the only one I subscribe to. Your work is fantastic and inspiring. I look forward to reading it everyday.
