About

My name is Julia Stainton and am a rubber stamp artist and papercraft concept designer. I started this blog to share my designs, and ideas with others who enjoy papercrafting. A busy, stay at home mom of 5 lovely children, I have been married for 21 wonderful years. We live in a century farmhouse in Canada and always seem to be undergoing a renovation.

I’ve been a crafter all my life and I started scrapbooking about11 years ago. Discovering a lot of rubber stamping in the scrapbook layouts, I was intrigued and just had to give it a try. It didn’t take me long to get hooked.  In March 2005 I created a weekly challenge on SCS and have recently completed our 300th challenge. For almost 6 years I’ve continued the challenge before stepping down. In December 2006 I started submitting my designs for publication and have had much success in this venture. My first 5 designs came into print in May 2007. I’ve been enjoying having many other designs published since with more in the upcoming months. I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to be part of quite a few stamping and scrapbooking design teams that are listed on my resume.  . Over the past couple years, I’ve been thrilled to become a product designer with many stamp sets released. I’m currently working on a new project that I can’ wait until I can share. In my free time, I enjoy reading, and spending summers on the beach.

I review your gallery on a regular basis and my favorites is about 50% Julie S. 50% everyone else. I’m looking forward to receiving your blog on a regular basis. Congrats on your upcoming publications.

  4. Hi,

I read a lot of blogs. I’m about addicted to them as I am addicted to rubberstamping. But your blog is the only one I subscribe to. Your work is fantastic and inspiring. I look forward to reading it everyday.

  6. Hi Julia,
I just love your work. You have given me some wonderful ideas that I will put to good use. I am not too familiar with blogs but I will be returning to this one often. Thanks for you beautiful creations.

  7. SO admire your work! I have many of your stamps from CHF (sniff, sniff) and they are treasures. Did you ever appear on the Carol Duvall show?

  8. I was drawn to your designs as inspiration for my own scrapbooking which I thought was going a bit stale – there is just something about your style that has re-sparked my desire to scrapbook – is it the vibrant colours, or the adventurous layouts, i’m not sure, but i will certainly be keeping an eye on your future projects. lots of love from the UK
