sweet sixteen

Life is strange you know. Sometimes being 16 seems so very long ago and other times, you wonder just where the years went as you feel like the same girl inside.

I wanted to try and capture the sweet moments of being sixteen for my daughter and turned to some beautiful product from Lily Bee Design‘s Lovely line for a fresh but shabby look. Aren’t these papers and accents gorgeous?!

A two page layout can be hard to see in blog format so here are the separate pages…

For a few easy distressed details, I’ve added in some ink, sanding and distressing. Adding a crackle finish to embellishments is also a fun  and quick way to add texture and some subtle distressing. I have short tutorial on it on the Lily Bee blog today so stop by if you can.

Supplies: sewing machine, Lovely Line rub-ons, chipboard and patterned paper by Lily Bee Design,  Jenni Bowlin cardstock by Coredinations, twine, thickers by American Crafts, Rock Candy and Picket Fence Distress Crackle Paint by Ranger, Innoscence flower by Prima, Tim Holtz Heart Charm by Advantus

Have a sweet day…
