One for the Guys… a challenge
In my house…there is a high male population. One husband, FOUR sons, even the dog is male.
My daughter and I DO hold our own though! One thing I’ve noticed is that the amount of “girl” cards I design vastly outnumbers the amount of “guy” cards. I’m always racing at the last moment to come up with a masculine design when I need one. That being the case…I thought it would be fun to have a masculine challenge for our Monday theme. You can check out our challenge here…hope you decide to play along!
Want some inspiration? Check it out in my sidebar. Most of the CHF designers are playing along this week so pick a link.
U Rock
I create this card for my middle son’s 13th birthday. Guy designs should be fun and funky. They don’t have to be boring without sparkle and ribbon. Be sure to add in lots of elements and texture. This design…once again
, features the new Writer’s Block backgrounder. It will be released tomorrow. I had a little fun stamping it over some Basic Grey Archaic paper. Another background, AlphaNumber is stamped on the left Kraft cardstock panel.
Now if you’re looking for more CHF sneak peeks….make sure you pop over to Lisa’s blog for the latest one!
Take care and have a fabulous day!
Julia

Great Guy Card Julia. I can not wait to get my hands on that new writers block BG. I love the projects I’ve seen with it. TFS your challenge!
It’s my son’s 17th birthday today and I still need to make him a card! This is perfect inspiration for me, thanks!
Hugs,
Amy

GREAT card, J!! I love the patterns and elements, especially that star embellishment/ribbon combo!
Hi Julia
I really like this card… Very nice for a young man of 13.
Hope all is well with you and that you are enjoying your summer so far. Ours has been very busy but we are taking advantage of all the nice hours.. eating al fresco, swimming and doing lots of gardening.
Have a great week.
This is a great guy card! I really like the colors and the guitar! so many textures!
Great Guy card!
Absolutely amazing guy card!!! Love it and your scrappy fun style!
very cool, I have such a hard time with guy cards too, this is so neat, love the way you did the chipboard!
I love every little detail on this card! It’s fabulous!
YOU rock Julia!! I love the collage look, but never seem to be able to do it. You make it look easy!!
I love this! I don’t do a lot of masculine cards, either — probably because it’s a house where girls are the majority! One son, three daughters — there’s a lotta pink around here!
this is a GREAT guy card! love it!
