Renovation Woes…
Well part of the problem with renovating half the house, especially involving the kitchen is the amount of things you have to pack up or move around. My fridge is in the living room along with all the various kitchen supplies we need….we still have to eat you know.
The house is looking pretty much upside down. I knew it was going to be a problem and put my camera battery charger in a very safe place. It is still in that VERY safe place and my battery is now dead. Do think think I can find that VERY safe place?! No! I so ticked off this morning…I had that altered project I told you about all ready to post this morning except for the photo. So….you know what I’ll be doing all day…searching for this charger! AACCCCKKKKK!
In the meantime though…I though I’d post a quick design I DID manage to make and take a photo of yesterday BTBD (before the battery died). Also…the new Rummage Bin releases are now on-line so check them out if you have the time.
Sailboat Hello
While we’re buried in snow here after Saturday’s storm…I’m thinking of summer! While I was talking on the phone yesterday this idea for the swirls from Kim Hughes Bold Curls stamp popped into my head. Yes it’s simple but sometimes those are so fun. It kind of reminds me of a Julie Ebersole style card. I’m sure I didn’t pull it off with her flair but I’m tickled with it anyways.
To create this design I used a Fabriano Medioevalis notecard and stamped the large swirl stamp onto the bottom third of the design. The little sailboat comes from Kim’s A Welcome Hug set and was quick to paint in with my waterbrush. To create the very subtle swirl of wind behind the boat, I used a smaller swirl from Bold Swirls and stamped off my ink once before stamping. The hello is stamped right over top of the swirl.
Simply stamping is best with simple embellishments so I added a fun little felt Maya Road star and a knotted green gingham ribbon clipped on with a Creative Impressions mini paper clip.
Just in case you missed it…I’m having a blog giveaway until tonight (Tuesday March 11 at 10pm EST). If you haven’t already entered, you can comment by clicking on the link. ![]()
Now I’m off to feed the kids and then do a mad search for that charger!
Have a great day!

This is so… sweet and the wave is fabulous- how very clever! Best of luck on the charger! We aren’t renovating but when things go missing at our house we check my youngest DD toy box. She has a tendency to “hide” things there!
