An update and another prayer request….
I just wanted to give you an update on my mom (Kathleen) for all those who are interested. Many of you know that she has been fighting Melanoma (the most agressive type of skin cancer) through 2 major surgeries as well as interferon and radiation treatments. She is still having chemo treatments…3 days every three weeks. Next Tuesday she will start her next round. After that they may give her 6 weeks off. She is quite exhausted from it all. We appreciate your continued prayers.
I also have a prayer request for my Mother-in-Law, Arlene. She was diagnosed with Breast Cancer a couple weeks ago and is having surgery on Friday and then treatment to follow. If you could remember to pray for her, we would most appreciate it as well.
Thanks so much for your support! We strongly believe in the power of prayer.

OMGoodness, Julia — I hope everything goes well with Arlene’s surgery and your Mom continues to do well with hers. Big hugs.
Thanks for the update, Julia. I’m always wondering how things are with you, but don’t like to ask. So sorry about your MIL. You sure have a full plate. Take care of yourself too. Linda
I really feel for you. My mom fought the battle with melanoma for 4 1/2 years. We went through so many of the treatments you’re going through with your mom. I have added her to my prayer journal and will keep her there. Treasure the moments… they are so precious!
My heart goes out to you and your family with these serious illnessess in your family. God is good and a great comfort. I will remember these two special ladies in your life in my prayers.
Julia, Prayers for the Mom’s…and for your family and the doc’s and nurses who will provide their best care…for all of you, strength, comfort, wisdom and the knowledge of God’s loving care and the love and support of friends…blessings
Oh Julia, they are both in my thoughts as well as your entire family. How difficult things must be right now. Sending healing vibes their way.
Julia, my prayers are with your family. My step-mother just finished up treatment for breast cancer, so I know it’s tough. Take care, Becky
Wow, you have so much to deal with right now. I also strongly believe in the power of prayer and will pray for you, your family and for your moms. May you all feel the strength of God’s arms upholding you.
(((Julia))) prayers going up!
Julia, we will lift them and you up in prayer. You will all need His strength to handle such a strain, but thankfully His strength and peace is sufficient. Just trust Him.
Always keeping them in prayers! {{{J}}}
Julia I lift both of your Mom’s up to the Lord in prayer. My Mom was diagnosed 10 years ago and has been cancer free ever since…she turns 70 in Nov. I too believe in the power of prayer, the power of laughter and the power that family and friends offer up to you.
My Dad was gravely ill in the fall, (he has since had a miracle recovery) and one day mom said “I get through each day with Faith, Family and Friends”. The next day at work, a travelling salesman left a picture with that very saying on it…WOW…I bought one for my Mom and MIL and they hang in their homes as a reminder of the Power that we pray to everyday!
God Bless you and keep you in this trying time. Rebecca
Julia, I am sorry to hear about both your mother & your mother-in-law. I will keep them in my thoughts!
I will be praying for both women! How hard it must be on your family! Hopefully they both have a fighting spirit!
Julia, you and your family are in my prayers! Hugs to you all!
