I think this just may be the cutest chick I have ever seen. How about those glasses? Today I have another card design using the Avocado Arts Springtime Celebrations stamp set. This chick is cute and fun and sassy. Love it!
This design is pretty straightforward paper piecing. I’ve adding in some fun touches to add dimension. Glossy Accents on the glasses makes those eyes pop and I decided this chick needed a fun little tulle skirt. The measuring tape frame is new trim by Maya Road that I’ve made into a border.
It’s the first of the month so soome of the Avocado Arts Design Team have a little inspiration to share with you today…

Now I know it’s not quite Easter yet but it could be time to be thinking of it if you like to craft. In the papercrafting “world” I’m always working ahead. Some days it can actually be a bit of a challenge to change gears and flip back and forth. For example recently I’ve been working on Easter projects but also Fall, Back to School, Summer and even Christmas. It’s a good thing I like variety!
The latest Avocado Arts release, Springtime Celebrations, has me totally feeling like spring is just around the corner. Often I go with a clean and simple style when stamping but for this Easter design, I’ve paired them up with my Victoria Park line papers for a sweet and shabby look.
Each sweet egg is stamped and cut out as an accent and the Easter sentiment is highlighted by stamping it on a Maya Road chipboard banner.

Today’s card is all zipped up. I just love the Maya Road zipper trims and so, why not combine them all together for a zippy bright and fun design?
This is another card design that I created for Maya Road this CHA. I’ve adhered the zippers on with a strong dry adhesive to create this bright and trendy look. Easy peasy.

I hope you’re enjoying a beautiful day. The sun is shining here and I’m so thankful. Today I have a shabby style card to say hello. It was messy and fun to put together and I hope you enjoy it.
This card was created when I was playing around with my Ranger Paint Dabbers. Did you know you can use acrylic paint as an adhesive? I’ve used it here to adhere my collage Frames tissue paper to the card front. Just dab it onto the cardstock and then place your tissue into the wet paint.
Paint is also wonderful for a great opaque coverage on chipboard and I’ve covered this chipboard dressform with Pitch Black Adirondack Paint Dabber. The beautiful white damask pattern is some rub-ons that I’ve applied after the paint has dried.

This card is looking trim. All sorts of yummy, fabulous Maya Road trims make it feel like it has it’s party dress on.
I created this card for the Maya Road CHA booth and was so excited yesterday to hear that their new product has started shipping. It’s an amazing release and I can’t wait to play with some more of the new embellishments.
When you are adhering lots of trims and bulky embellishments, I like to use heavy duty dry adhesives. When you are adding in all those goodies, you really want them to stay firmly in place.

Do you have friends you’d be lost without?
I have a few and I’m so grateful for them.
I’ve made a flower with a map for this project. It goes well with the sentiment, don’t you think? Love, love, love the map trend. I think it’s going to hang in there for awhile because, well, who doesn’t love a map and they are pretty much timeless.
Quick Tip: I’ve used an old Atlas that was outdated and just collecting dust. It’s perfect recycling and I love using it instead of patterned paper or to die cut with.
