While I’m in the mood for getting ahead this year, I thought I’d share a couple other Christmas projects I’ve created. Decorating for the holidays is always fun and paper crafting some handmade decorations is a great way to make them special.
This first decoration is a stamped image that I’ve placed in a two inch square Ranger Memory Frame. A sentiment is then stamped right on the Memory Glass with Black Stazon Ink.
Believe Santa Ornament

This image is Santa’s Lap from CHF and is colored with Copic Markers. I’m going to put this glass frame on a present as the gift tag and then the recipient can hang it on their tree.
TK Christmas Ornament

Michael’s carries some great paper mache ornaments and one of them in this star shape. For a fun quick ornament, I covered one with some Thomas Kinkade Christmas paper and then sponged the edges. After adhering a little blue velvet ribbon around the edges, a few quick embellishments finish it off.
Thanks for stopping by!

My printer is getting quite the work out these days! I’ve been busy creating and busy designing and busy testing. And yay! After four days, my migraine is pretty much gone. One of the fun things I’ve been using to print on is Avery Fabric Printable Sheets. I picked up a package at Staples, my local office supply store and was super impressed. Here’s one of the projects I created…
Joyful Caroler Printable Fabric Card

It may be difficult to see but the Joyous Caroler is printed on cotton fabric. It’s a great look and opens up the creative possibilities! I’ve written a little more about these Printable Fabric Sheets on today’s post at ETC. Check it out here if you’re interested…
Supply List: Joyous Caroler Printable by every thing creative, cardstock by Bazzill Basics, patterned paper by Webster’s Pages, rhinestones by Zva Creative, button by Autumn Leaves, ribbon by Making Memories, sewing machine, glitter chipboard alpha by American Crafts, 03384 Avery Printable Fabric
I also have a new file this week at ETC. I’m excited to have designed my first printable template… the Blossom Top Box. It’s super easy to use as you can print the file as many times as you wish. No need for tracing, just print on the reverse side of your paper, then score and cut out. If you’re interested...you can find it here…

Have a fabulous weekend!

Bling…just bring it on. I love it! I’ve recently become addicted to Zva Creative bling and today I have a quick holiday project using it and a review on Craft Critique.
Before I get to the project, I just wanted to let you know about World Cardmaking Day. Just five more sleeps card makers! What a fun day for crafters around the world to come together and create. There is a LOT going on this Saturday October 3rd and I’ll be updating you with more going on throughout the upcoming week. Starting today, in order to get ready for WCD, Cath at Moxie Fab World is doing a world tour of card makers from yes, all over the world. Each day she’ll be featuring a different part of the planet and I can’t wait to see all the fabulous ideas. Make sure you take the time to check it out! Another place you’ll want to check out… the actual World Card Making Day site. There’s inspiration, a gallery to upload to, a contest and all manner of fun things planned. I have a few fun things up my sleeve as well, so keep checking back.
Anyone else excited about WCD?!
Christmas Gift Card Holder

This tin is one of those little metal gift card tins you can buy at Michael’s. I really wanted to use this Crafty Secrets Santa image on this project so I sanded the edges of the trim to give it a vintage distressed look. Christmas and bling just seem to go together in my mind so I personalized the tin with the name of the recipient in Zva Crystals letters. All the elements are attached to a patterned paper “belly band” that slides on and off the tin.
Have a great day!

One more day till release and today I have a project that includes most of the stamps in this set. If you look carefully you’ll be able to pick them out as I stamped them to create a collage paper background for this journal I created. I have a bad habit of thinking that tomorrow will be better and wanted a journal that would remind me to cherish today and the moments that I have…not the ones that may never come.
Write It Journal
I picked this journal up at Michaels a few weeks ago. It’s a great book to alter as it has a center image with plain sides. This makes it super easy to just put whatever you want to design right on top. I stamped randomly over the Kraft cardstock to create a large panel and then cut it into three smaller ones to break up the design visually. When stamping a collage, I try to vary the direction and angles of the images and also make sure that they overlap in some form or other. A good rule for choosing images is to vary the size and shape of the ones you choose so that it is more pleasing to the eye.
Quick Tip: Use a heavy duty adhesive on altered projects to keep them from falling apart with use.

Supply List:
Stamps: On the Desk
Ink: Burnt Umber & Tuxedo Black Memento Ink by Tsukineko
Paper: Kraft cardstock by Bazzill Basics, Frosted Teal & SPring Willow Light cardstock by Prism Papers
Other: say it with crystals & flowers by Prima, pearl stickers by Basic Grey, journal from Michael’s
Take care!

If you’ve already read my Marks Paper Company review on Craft Critique, you’ve already seen these projects but I wanted to share them here as well. I just love this paper line and it was so fun to work with that it practically designed itself. Don’t you love it when that happens? That’s why I gave it “high Marks”. wink.
A quick reminder today as well….you have until tonight to enter my Scrapblock draw here. Good luck!
