Creative Block

Actually this post is not about a creative block but about lots of creativity in block form. Today I have a new ScrapBLOCK release and also a fun wall art tutorial for the CLASSroom featuring square BLOCK canvases.

Here’s the new Scrapblock…

Calendar Year Scrapblock

I can’t wait to show you some fun ways to use it. A couple of the projects I made with it were picked up and I’ve been so under the weather that I haven’t managed to create some more.Hopefully soon!

Family Wall Art

Here’s a project I had so much fun creating for the CLASSroom. As you may know, I’m on a bit of a home dec kick right now and thought this would be a great project to play around with. Tutorial and step outs can be found here.

I love Canvas

I’m so excited to be starting a new mini album. It’s a gorgeous 8×8 Canvas album and over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing different pages and tutorials with it. I can’t wait to see where the project goes. This week I made a start on it using stitching and beautiful trims. This album is going to be a tribute album of my mom. In the right picture, she’s the middle sister on her father’s knee in the late 1930’s. Doesn’t look like getting her picture taken was quite her plan at that moment. She’s also the little girl on the left in the car photo. These pictures are all I’ve found so far of her at a very young age. I wish there were more. I think it’s a good thing that this album is canvas and not paper. There may be more than a few tears shed on it.

The Beginning

I have a tutorial on this project today. Stop by and check it out at the CLASSroom.

Check back in tomorrow as I actually have another project made. This time it’s a sneak peek at my latest stamp set.

Happy creating!

Masked Fun

It’s just one day till Halloween and I wanted to have a little masking fun. I didn’t dress up and I didn’t even create a Halloween project but I DID create my own custom magnetic reusable mask and make another Christmas card. I’ve written a tutorial for the CLASSroom today and I hope it will make you take a look at your dies and punches and think of new ways to use them. You can find the tutorial here…

Royal Birthday Rules!

Hmmm…I just read the title and it’s a bit ambiguous! I’m not giving you some rules for a royal birthday but am saying that A Royal Birthday rules. It’s all about the context right? Anyhoo…. I am SOOOOOO adoring this new stamp set, A Royal Birthday. It just has such a fun style and attitude to it and all the ornate pieces are positively delicious. I know it may be a strange word to use for a stamp set but in my mind, it best describes it. I had a  pile of fun playing with some wonderful lace to create this card for today’s CLASSroom post. All the deets are here…

You Rule

And yes…I still have that headache! Day 11 here but I did get to the Dr. last night and got some meds. It seems that my migraine turned into a monster tension headache so I’m hoping for some progress soon. Thanks for your concern! :)

And lastly…make sure you stop by Becky Olsen’s blog and give her some love. She has some mighty fine rubbah to share!

Have a great weekend!

A Deer Friend

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! It’s only October but there’s snow on the ground and I have Christmas product on my desk. It’s actually looking a little festive! That’s OK as I’m excited to get a little ahead this year. I’m embarrassed to say that while I managed to create a lot of cards last year, I only managed to get a few of them in the mail. This year I resolve to be MUCH better. Do you think anyone would mind if I started sending them out now? ;) Just kidding!

One of the projects I’ve been busy creating is this Deer Friend holiday card. There’s a whole tutorial with step outs at the CLASSroom today to make it super easy. Why not stop by and check it out?
