sew…what’s new?

April 1st means April Fool’s Day. You won’t be getting any tricks from me. Just some pretty stamping.

The first of the month always means sharing an Avocado Arts project using the latest stamp set. I know I’ve said it before but I just have to say it again…LOVE this Sew Nice stamp set.

Because it’s a sewing theme, I thought it would be fun to stamp on fabric. I love the Sticky Back Canvas for stamping on. It always has an amazing texture and I love misting it too. To create this panel, I first stamped the canvas with Jet Black Archival ink and heat set it with my heat gun. Here’s another thing I’ve said before but since I’m always getting asked about it, I hope you won’t mind the repetition. Ranger Archival Inks are hands-down my favorite inks for stamping on fabrics. They always give me such a nice clean and crisp image and they are permanent when heat set.

Next step… mist the canvas with a couple different mists.  It adds a subtle shimmer that you cant’ see in the photo and the softly blended colors and so pretty.

It’s the first of the month so some of the Avocado Arts Design Team have a little inspiration to share with you today…

Supplies:

Happy April! Don’t fall prey to too many pranks!
