Day two of 2012 and I’m finding it crazy hard to slow down. How DO you simplify when there are seven people in the house, all with different agendas. Oh…and we’re renovating again. I think I’m going to have to hold out till next week to get a little peace and quiet!

I’ve been playing around with my Distress Stains again and here’s a simple little card using them to swipe a pretty striped background. Just turn the dabber over, press onto the paper and swipe across the surface. It’s so pretty I know I’m going to have to play around with this idea a little more.
Quick Tip: Experiment with different cardstock papers to find which best absorbs the color of these Distress Stains. For this particular technique, I’ve used the Bazzill white textured cardstock as I find it worked best for me.
In the centers of the largest stamped flowers I’ve added a little shine with a dot of Glossy Accents. This Hero Arts stamp is one of my favorites as there are so many things you can do with it.
