got the blues

Today I have the blues. No. Not sad. Just lots of beautiful misted blue color.

I just can’t resist a good challenge and today’s SCS challenge is Mostly Blues.

I decided to play around with a white and black card design and add all my blue color in with a mist. Wouldn’t it be fun to make a whole collection of these cards in white and black and then add a mist of color as the mood suits you? Note to self: try it!

To add extra interest with mists, I always love to add in a little masking. First stamp the card in a waterproof ink. I like the Ranger Archival inks for this (and just about everything else too). Lay down a mask and mist away. You can leave the misting subtle or you can flick the intake straw for a splatter effect like I did. Mist the flower and adhere the embellishments and you’re done.
