bliss frame

The countdown is on.

Just over four more weeks until child no. 2 flies the nest and heads off to university. For most of the summer I’ve been trying not to think about it and enjoy each day as it comes. With the countdown now on, I guess it’s time to pull my head out of the sand and start crossing off the to do list. I’m so excited for her but for me, well, not so much. Our household is getting smaller at an alarming rate.

With the colors of my daughter’s soon-to-be-new room in mind, I created this paper crafted frame for her to take with her. She can switch out the photo if she wants but for now, I thought a picture of her from prom would be pretty to fill the hole.

The paper I’ve used is from a couple different Lily Bee Design lines. I love  how well they all work together and their subtle beauty enhances photos rather than overpower them.

To embellish this frame I’ve die cut my own chipboard accents from chipboard and Lily Bee Design paper. I adore the look of chipboard and making your own custom accents is so easy. You can find this project today with step outs on the Lily Bee Design Blog.
