Easter Wishes

It’s kind of crazy how late Easter is this year. I’m not quite sure how they calculate when it is but I know there is some method to it.  The nice thing about Easter being late this year is that we may actually get some nice spring weather for it here in Canada this time around. Most of the time we need to do egg hunts indoors rather than out.

For this card I chose a little different color palette for Easter but I think it’s fresh and still looks like spring.

The canvas piece for this design is actually a page from a Maya Road canvas album. Fun, huh?

Supplies: kraft cardstock by Bazzill, patterned paper by Jillibean Soup, Edger Punch by EK Success, Tiny Attacher by Advantus, butterfly by K & Company, twine, Leaf Trinket Pins by Maya Road, flower & leaf by Prima, buttons by Basic Grey, canvas album by Maya Road, Celebrate Everyday stamp set by Hero Arts, Jet Black Archival Ink by Ranger

Have a beautiful day!

  5. Gorgeous card! It’s so funny that you mention how Easter is calculated, my sister was just telling me how they do it this weekend. It’s the first Sunday after the first full moon after the first day of spring. How confusing right? :)

Oh wow…. This is breathtakingly beautiful! Love the canvas and the stitching! I also love the layout! Even though you have a large cluster all the way to the right, the card is still very much balanced by your DP and sentiment! FAB!

  7. Beautiful card! ;D

  8. Julia: i just LOVE this card. I love the canvas, and the stitching on it. I would like to encourage others to work with canvas! It gets a little expensive buying pre-made canvas packs, but if you buy it at a fabric store, and get a little brave with your sewing machine, you can do it! Thanks for this BEAUTIFUL creation and the inspiration. You are SO talented.
