a look back

2010 was a wonderful year.

I had so much creative fun I thought I’d take a look back at my favorite projects and memories. I feel so blessed to be able to do what I do. Sometimes it’s good to look back  and count your blessings before moving forward. If you enjoy top ten lists, make sure you check out Moxie Fab World this week. I’ve loved Cath’s look at the trends of 2010.

Notable Creative Moments of 2010 – my favorite and not so favorite memories of 2010

  • January found me crafting away in my new craft room. I’m still loving every moment in it.
  • February was a busy month. I challenged myself to create 30 layouts in 30 days. It really stretched my creativity and I’m back scrapbooking.
  • I was thrilled to make the Lily Bee Design Team in March
  • My dog peed on one of my submission layouts for the Lily Bee Team. I blotted and dried it, took my submission photo and then threw it in the garbage. I was NOT thrilled!
  • I had my first three scrapbook layouts picked up for publication
  • CKC Buffalo was the highlight of May. Finally meeting Becky Olsen along with Susan Opel and Megan Hoeppner was a wonderful 24 blur.
  • The same very bad doggie ate my very large Two Peas in  Bucket order that the mail delivery had left on my porch.
  • My small little 8×8 craft room appeared in Creating Keepsakes Creative Spaces column.
  • I started teaching monthly at my local scrapbook store
  • The Creative Scrappers and Card Patterns sketch teams were lots of fun
  • I spent 6 months on the Zva Creative team
  • Computer woes had me tied up for weeks. I had to buy a new version of Photoshop Elements. I’m now the “proud” owner of two versions of PSE 8.0  Duh moment when I bought the Mac version first when I have a PC
  • I loved designing for Paper Crafts Card Creations: Favorite Occasions and Color Inspiration issues
  • Susan Opel shared my messy crafting secret on facebook with a photo of my exploded room after a creative spree
  • Up the Street Scrapbooking has me designing bi-monthly for their kits
  • I had the opportunity to product design again
  • Just recently, I said a very fond farewell to the Ways to Use it Challenge after almost 6 years of hostessing it on Splitcoaststampers.com

I’m excited to see what the new year brings. If it is half as wonderful as 2010, I know it will be a very happy and creative year. Why not take the time to trace your creative journey this year?

Thanks for letting me reminisce!
