a very merry christmas

It’s Christmas Eve and there is always so much to do. Today I’m busy baking pies, cleaning and getting the last few presents wrapped. The little boys are especially wound up as they can’t wait for morning to arrive. I’m looking forward to seeing their faces when they open their gifts. Priceless.

I will let them open one gift this evening though. It’s part of our Christmas Eve tradition, just as reading the story of the birth of Christ from the Bible is. I want to be sure that we all remember just what we are celebrating. Christmas is a beautiful time, a gift of hope.

Sleigh Ride Card

Here’s my last Christmas card of the year that I created to share with you today. I had so much fun creating it with lots of layers and details, distressing and stamping. The “snowy” accents are distress crackle paint and Melissa Frances Mica Flakes.

Supplies: cardstock by Bazzill, Father Christmas 6×6 paper pad & Father Christmas Punch Outs by Pink Paislee, felt Pearl Blossoms, Kraft Envelope, Chipboard Snowflakes and Pearl Trinket Pin by Maya Road, twine, Sanding Block and Tiny Attacher by Advantus, Picket Fence Distress Crackle Paint, Mica Flakes by Melissa Frances, Jet Black Archival Ink by Ranger, Christmas Greeting Stamp set by 7 Gypsies

I just want to thank you all for stopping by each day and wish you a very happy and joyful Christmas.

Blessings to you,
