Catching Fall and Blessed

It’s the time of year to remember our blessings. Actually, I believe that an attitude of gratitude is essential all year long to keep things in perspective, don’t you?

Blessed

This term my daughter is very blessed to spend two credits of her senior year in a co-op placement at a local hospital. It’s an amazing opportunity and learning experience and she was able to attend her first surgery last week, an organ transplant. I wanted to create a layout as she started this new experience and write about what a blessing it is for her.

I’ve created this layout using Lily Bee Design‘s new Catching Fall line. I’m totally enamored with it. Seriously…I went out and bought extra.

Yes, I’ve once again used my go-to die, Tattered Florals to create this look. By die-cutting the text paper and then lining it over the exact text, it gives a really interesting look of continuity and as if the flowers are coming out of the paper.

Looking for additional photos? Today this layout is on the Lily Bee Design blog and you can check it out here.

Supplies: Rub-ons, chipboard, die cut and patterned paper from Catching Fall line by Lily Bee Design, twill ribbon, sewing machine, cardboard letters by Jillibean Soup, Kraft Ticket & Leaf Pins by Maya Road, Binding Edge Punch by EK Success, Tim Holtz Tissue Tape and Tiny Attacher by Advantus, dymo label maker, Tattered Florals Die by Sizzix, Tumbled Glass Distress Ink by Ranger, twine

Thanks so much for all your get well wishes. I seem to be improving a little each day and that is a huge blessing!

Have a wonderful weekend!
