A Banner Day

Banners are everywhere these days. Paper, stickers, stamps, chipboard and hand made ones too. I love this fun trend. Inspired by some fun new product, I thought it would make a great challenge for today. Want to play along? Here’s a link for today’s Ways to Use it Challenge.

A Banner Hi

A fun new Hero Arts stamp and some gorgeous new Lily Bee Design paper just had to meet for this card. If you’ve been waiting for the three beautiful new lines from Lily Bee it’s been shipped and you can find it at your local scrapbook store or online stores such as scrapbook.com and twopeasinabucket.com

The banner stamp for this project stamps much straighter than you see it here. By stamping it and cutting it out, the paper is so thin in the rope area that it is easy to bend slightly.

Supplies: Hello Flags stamp & Big Hugs stamp set by Hero Arts, kraft cardstock by Bazzill, Catching Fall paper line by Lily Bee Design, twine, sewing machine, Black Memento Ink by Tsukineko, Jet Black Archival Ink by Ranger, Copic Markers

Quick Tip: If you read the above supply list, you may have noticed I used two different black inks. Why would I bother doing that? The Tuxedo Black Memento ink is best for using with Copic Markers. The sentiment is stamped with the Jet Black Archival Ink from Ranger as I find it gives a much darker and solid impression which is really needed to make it show up well when stamped on the patterned paper.

Happy creating!
