Summer & Dreams

I love scrapbooking. Unfortunately over the past couple weeks there has been little time for it. You know how those last few weeks of school can get. A little crazy to be sure. High School exams are now over and my daughter had a safe flight to Alberta. I’m now the lone female in the house so life should be interesting. This week brings the end of Elementary School and a Canada Day celebration. I can’t believe summer vacation is here.

Today’s Creative Scrapper’s sketch #110 is a fun one. I just love the way the gorgeous curved layer moves your eye through the design.

The Canvas Tree Form is fun to alter by sponging it with a little Crushed Olive Distress Ink. I’ve always loved the look of paint on layouts and I splattered and brushed on some Claudine Hellmuth Blank Canvas Studio Paint to add interest to the kraft cardstock.

Here’s a closeup of the tree and the Tim Holtz Journaling Tickets are a fun way to add a little journaling to the layout.

Stamping makes a great embellishment on layouts and photos. Sentiments from the Hero Arts Anytime Messages set is stamped here on the photo and also at the  top of the design.

Here’s the original sketch. You can play along here.
