Oh so shabby

The shabby, vintage look is one that I absolutely adore. As I’ve never been blessed to get to CHA yet, each January and July I spend a lot of time on the computer looking for glimpses as the new products and lines and show videos. While not as good as being there, it definitely gives me a feel for what’s on trend, what’s new and cool and what to put on my wish list. The Girls’ Paperie was a new company showing at Winter CHA and I just gasped when I saw it. Especially the Paper Girl line as it’s so me. I ordered it as soon as I could and it’s been sitting there waiting for me for a couple weeks. Being so pretty, I had a hard time cutting it up so I finally decided to just go for it and used Sketch 100 from Creative Scrappers to get it done.

My favorite part of creating this layout was the shabby paper flowers. I created them with the new Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Die. I die cut flowers from the Paper Girl papers and also from some vintage dictionary pages I had on hand.
