Pretty Patterns

I adore pattern. Traditional gingham, classic dots, beautiful brocades, retro prints, florals…it’s all gorgeous! And what makes a pattern even better is mixing it up with another and maybe even yet another pattern. Play along with me today and find the challenge here.

Speaking of patterns, I’m pretty excited that Ellen will be having weekly sales in her on-line store now. This week it’s Graphic 45…so gorgeous! You  can find it by clicking on the banner below.

And yah…I know this banner totally clashes with my card so I’m going to write a bit about it here  to offer you a little visual space. lol I’ve used some of my favorite classic patterns…houndstooth, chintz, gingham and a reverse polka dot to create these stamped background panels. Each is stamped on vanilla cardstock to tie them together visually. I’ve used some fun colors of Memento Ink. The large dressform image and faux stitching are Hambly Screen Prints rub-on transfers. I was totally impressed with how high a quality their rub-ons are. Beautiful smooth glossy black.
