Five Years of Challenges!

Where DID five years go? FIVE! Can you believe I’ve been posting the Ways to Use it Challenge since the very beginning WT01 challenge on Splitcoaststampers? I’ve taken a few sick and vacation days but for the most part, I’ve posted every Thursday. Now that’s something to celebrate!

In honour of this birthday/anniversary, I thought today’s challenge should be on a birthday theme. Let’s make some fun birthday cards, invitations, gifts, birthday layouts…whatever you wish. Have fun with the challenge here.

ok. I’ll be the first to admit this card didn’t quite go the way I wanted. I ended up not having time to make another as I’d committed to hubby that I WOULD get those taxes done yesterday. My sewing machine needle broke after I’d started stitching and the only one I had left was an heirloom winged needle. This works great on cotton fabric with an enterdeux stitch as you WANT large holes but it truly looks a little bizarre in paper. Sigh. It is what it is.

Quick Tip: Make SURE you have an extra needle on hand! lol

But anyways…it’s bright and fun and I got to try out stamping on this cool wood paper. Super fun to work with!

Supply list:wood paper by Creative Imaginations,  kraft cardstock by BAzzill, Homespun 4×4 mini papers by Jenni Bowlin, Nested Dahlia die by Spellbinders, button by Cosmo Cricket, twine, sewing machine, Rose Bud Memento Ink by Tsukineko, candle, Fine Houndstooth Scrapblock by CHF, Birthday Centers stamp set by CHF

Happy creating!
