sketch 54 – daffodil wishes

I decided to get a little more “techniquey” (lol is that a word?!) that usual and make my own painted background on sticky back canvas. This card is for Card Patterns sketch 54. I decided to turn it on it’s end to use this beautiful daffodil stamp from Stampin Up. Today’s sketch is sponsored by Lisa Walsh. Be sure to check out the sketch and prize this week at Card Patterns.

Daffodil Well Wishes

The lovely daffodil image on this card was colored and airbrushed with Copic Markers. I decided to experiment a little with the background and pulled out a piece of Claudine Hellmuth Stickyback Canvas. I just love this stuff! After cutting it to size, I then brushed it with white paint and then worked in some Sky Blue and Landscape Green. After allowing it to dry, I place a floral mask over the painted canvas and sponged on some of the new Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. I’m totally in LOVE with this color. Stunning!
