The Joy of the Sketch

I LOVE sketch challenges. I have a huge to do list today but while I was working on some design projects, I just had to take a break and play with this fun new sketch from Card Patterns. I had a little fun with it. You may have to look twice to see that it is the same sketch. The scalloped edges along the top and bottom were alluded to by the candies on the patterned paper and I simplified the design a little by stitching circles for the two circular layers. I had so much fun creating it and I’m totally lovin’ this Jolly by Golly Cosmo Cricket paper. It’s so fun, the colors and yummy and you can get a lot of fun different looks with it.

  2. Oh my dear goodness. I really love your card and the stitching on it. This sketch really intimidated me because of the symmetrical large circles slightly off center, so I love how you still incorporated the circles but they aren’t the focus! Great card.

This is just so sweet! And how clever of you to use the little alphabet letters. Mine have been sitting in a drawer for ages, they are coming out to play real soon!
