A Little Love
This card contains so many of the goodies that I absolutely love.Webster’s Pages, silk ribbon, type, twine, kraft cardstock, stitching and pins. It all started with a bunch of tiny scraps I had leftover from making other projects. I just could not bring myself to throw them away. Even the little piece that was only about 1/2″ x 1″. This paper is just too beautiful to waste. My solution? Piece and stitch them all together to form a pretty random quilt pattern. To do this, just start laying on the paper, balancing colors and patterns as you go. Adhere to a scrap of cardstock and then stitch on the sewing machine. I love this look and better yet, it’s thrifty.

To keep the focus on the beautiful background, I didn’t want to cover any of it up so I worked with the little phrase on the paper “happily ever after” and stamped “A Love Story” over top of it.
Embellishing a project just may be my favorite part of creating. And I’m so lucky today that the mail arrived with my latest order of the new silk ribbon from Ellen Hutson. Seriously gorgeous and it ties like a dream. I’m also quite in love with the new Tim Holtz type charms. So pretty and vintage looking and easy to tuck into little spaces. I chose an L for love but wouldn’t this be cute with the initial of the happy couple in it?

Beautiful job! Love Webster’s Pages and how you used your scraps-every bit of patterend paper is precious if you love it!! Can you reccomend a sewing machine for paper crafts? My in-laws asked me for a nice gift hint and I would love to start sewing on my cards and pages.
