Bits and Pieces

Published by Julia Stainton at 12:29 pm under Card Designs

As I clean up my creating corner to get ready to move into my new craft room, I’ve been finding bits and pieces of projects and embellishments that never quite made it into a final project. I don’t know what it is about cleaning up my craft space but it always gets me revved up to create something. Here’s one of the cards I created this weekend after coming across some odds and ends. It’s easily to make it into something new rather than find someplace to put it away, right?

As for the craft room, we made some progress yesterday! I have shelves in the tiny closet, a new countertop, the doors are trimmed and the baseboard is down. Yay! I think I’ll be spending tomorrow with a paintbrush in hand. As soon as I can get the baseboards done, I can start moving in as the things left to do can all be done with my desk in the room. I’m not sure how much actual papercrafting I’m going to get done this week but I’m going to have a blast getting things set up.

So pretty - I love how you used the panels of different patterned papers - I definitely need to try that technique! So exciting about your craft room… hope you’ll post pics once you are in and settled. I love seeing other people’s craft rooms… guess I like living vicariously, LOL!

    Julia,

Oh how I wish I could sit down with you and learn something from you. Everything you touch just turns into a beauty!

You’re going to just love your new space and I hope you show us some pictures of it. I know moving into a new space is a ton of work. We just built a little craft house for me back in June/July and it wore me out moving stuff from my old craft room in the house into my little house…especially in the hot month of July. I’m still trying to perfect my storage and get more organized. It’s so different from what I had. If you have time, I’d love for you to check it out on my blog. (I’m a VERY lazy blogger.)

Have fun and enjoy your new space.

This is lovely - and isn’t it funny how many little “treasures” we unearth when we move/reorganize?! Can’t wait to see your new space.

I love making cards out of *stuff* that is leftover on my desk! Sometimes they are the best creations and unplanned to boot!
Can’t wait to see your room…have FUN moving in! :)
