I like Buttons
I love buttons! They are such a simple, inexpensive embellishment but I love the dimension and warm feel that they add to a project. I have two stamped projects to share with you today. I actually made them weeks ago but am just finding some time to share them now.I’m still on my home projects kick and the house is looking much more homey. I’m lovin it. Of course, my list and hubby’s list are still a few miles long but hey…baby steps! It’s hard to live in a constant renovation. Come to think of it, for the past twenty years, I can’t think of a time when we HAVEN’T been renovating.
Button Swatches

This is a quick little card featuring my Sew Special stamp set. I simply stamped the little swatches, stitched them and added some buttons.

i like buttons too. and pretty much everything else. love your cards and the colour of your craft room. finished painting my kitchen last Christmas holiday. and very happy with it. it’s chocolate and linen for the accent wall. accenting with blues and greens.
have a great Thanksgiving.
I love buttons, too! What cute cards
I especially like the first one - sweet and simple, perfectly balanced
Cheers!

I am a buttonaholic too! : ) These cards are fabulous!!!
Love the button and sewing squares-pretty!
Great card Julia. I luv, luv, luv buttons too.
My mum gave me her button collection that I used to play with when I was little.
I just can’t get enough - wherever I go I am always in search of more buttons.
Well done.
Luv Sandie
Love the stamped swatches with the buttons Julia - that would make a great baby card for someone a little out of the “traditional” line!
You have conflicting info on the second stamp, BTW (Shady Tree in running text and the link and Sara England in the materials list) - another cute card though!
Adorable cards, Julia - love the colors. It’s funny, whenever I see that SE stamp I thing “boy” (not sure why!) but it’s adorable as a “girl card” too!!
Fabulous cards Julia! I love buttons too and I really like the way you used them. TFS!
Great cards! I LOVE buttons too! A girl after my own heart!
I love buttons too!
and those cards are adorable! Feel free to check out some of my crafts here
Both are sweet cards, Julia! Love the CAS design on the first card. I’m a lab owner so Sara England images are “Calling to me”! I also love the simple addition of buttons. But I don’t like the extra postage I must pay to mail them to my family and friends! LOL!
Good luck with the home renovation! We own a 1965 built home and there are always projects on the drawing board.
very cute cards, love the use of buttons on the second one!
Fantastic cards Julia! So pretty!
I am such a button fanatic - and the more vintage and beat up they are, the better I like them!!
these cards are WONDERFUL!!! the simplicity of your first one just takes my brath away. and the image on the 2nd one makes me wanna go give them BOTH big hugs!!
thanks for the inspiration!
