A Very Merry World Card Making Day!

Happy World Card Making Day! It’s finally here and there is a LOT going on! I’ve been in the holiday card making mood so I have a couple holiday cards featuring Printables to share with you today. Make sure you read all the deets so that you don’t miss out on any of the giveaways!

Merry Carolers

I used one of my new Printables on this card design. It’s called Christmas Carolers. The file comes as 3″ x 4.25″ and that’s what I’ve printed it out as here.  I was rummaging around in my cardstock drawer the other day for some papers to print on when I had a light bulb moment. How would images look printed on the textured Bazzill Basics paper? As you can see above, the image printed beautifully and I love the very subtle texture it adds to the image. It looks just like a cardstock embellishment die cut that you might buy at your local scrapbook store. If you like smaller images, you can easily resize it when printing and end up with a little journaling card/ATC sized image. The best thing about these files is that they can be printed over and over again. Wouldn’t that be great for Christmas cards or other occasions that you create a lot of cards for?

This design uses Webster’s Pages papers & trim, Bazzill Basics cardstock, American Crafts chipboard letters, Prima Galaxy Stars and my sewing machine.

My second project features another Printable…this time Christmas Chapel which is one of the Printables on the free WCD sheet from every thing creative. Make sure you stop by today to say hi, see how to use the Printables and get your WCD sample sheet.

Christmas Village

On this card design, I stamped the sentiment using the Vintage Christmas Expressions stamp set and then added in some glitter with a two-way glue pen to add some sparkle. I was bouncing to find that this image matched up with the new Eskimo Kisses Paper Pad by Basic Grey. I’d been wanting to find some time to dive into it and yay…it worked.

Quick Tip: Look for different papers that you can print on and try them out. You never know how they’ll look until you try it!

So…. while we’re in the WCD celebrating mood!… I have some rubber to share today. Anyone like rubber stamps? I have my two latest stamp set releases, Sew Special and Bracket Block to share with a lucky winner today.
