Around the Card Making World from Canada

Hello from Ontario, Canada! I’m excited that World Card Making Day is just two days away! Saturday October the third. I’m been counting down this week and getting some things created to celebrate. Fall has definitely arrived here and we’ve pulled out coats and sweaters. I think we may even need mittens soon! The cooler weather brings more time indoors and what a perfect time to celebrate card making. Especially since Christmas is really not as far off as we think!

I’m really excited to be part of the Moxie Fab World, World Tour of Card Making! When Cath asked me to be part of it as one of the stops on the Canadian tour, you can’t imagine how thrilled I was. I’ve been looking forward to World Card Making day for weeks and weeks and this is icing on the cake. I hope you’ll join me hopping to each of the featured Canadian blogs. Take the time to comment on this blog post and Moxie Fab World for a chance to win some awesome prizes by

Upsy Daisy Designs, Fontwerks, Making Memories, K&Company, and Papertrey Ink. While you’re at MFW, check out the links to the other featured designers and comment on their posts for an ever greater chance of winning! Cath will be drawing a winner from all of the comments on these blogs combined and will post it next Tuesday at MFW.

So how are you planning to spend World Cardmaking Day? At your craft table, getting inspiration on-line, joining a crop or event? I’ll be spending some time with my family, some at my crafting desk and a lot right here. I love how the internet makes the world a much smaller place. I hope you’ll join me on this blog for some inspiration and fun. I have lots to share. 🙂

If you’re looking for ideas for WCD, make sure you stop by the World Card Making Day site. It’s chock full of inspiration, it’s a place to share your designs and have some fun. Of course, the opportunity of being eligible to win some fabulous goodies from Paper Crafts Connection and Moxie Fab World, just makes it even better. If you like contests and would love to be published in March/April 2010 issue of Paper Crafts Magazine, make sure you check out the details here.

Now here’s my card to share with you today. Actually…I couldn’t decide so there’s actually two. 🙂 One fresh and simple, the other vintage and a little more going on. I love both styles.
