I Scrapped!
It’s about time! As I’d only created two layouts this year to date, the other morning I just got to it. So glad I did! My new goal is to create one per week. We’ll see how I do! Tuesday morning I came across this lovely photo of my mom with three of her grandchildren and decided I’d make a tribute layout. Not a day goes by that she is not missed.
Anyhow…a great way to get scrapping is to start with a sketch and as I had just come across a great sketch on the Creative Scrappers site. I’ve been hoarding this gorgeous Webster’s Pages paper and it worked perfectly for the sketch so I got busy.
Now if you’re looking for a little bit of enabling today…I had myself a wonderful shopping spree as Ellen Hutson has a 15% off coupon this weekend through Monday. I bought some new Copics, Distress Crackle Paint and other yummy goodies. Can’t wait until they arrive! Discount code is thrifty.

Notes:
- stamped elements are from my new On the Desk stamp set; missing you, calendar stamp and mini journaling bracket
- cherries and leaves detail is fussy cut from another Webster’s Pages paper
- I bought the new I top by Imaginesce and put it to work on the paper covered turquoise brads
- the border of the paper was embellished with rhinestone stickers along each side

Kristine
just breathtaking! and what a beautiful tribute to your mom and your children! I love the way the red trim brings the focus on that wonderful photo! it must have made your heart soar to work on this amazing page!
thank you for sharing with all of us.
Julia–
This is a beautiful page. You are inspiring me–I was never a papercrafter until about 5 years ago. After my mom died, I wanted to do some sort of memory project about her (I was thinking altered book), so I started collecting stamps, paper, and “supplies.” Now, 5 years later, I still haven’t started a memory project, but am up to my ears in stamps, paper, and “supplies!” I think it’s time to get back to my original project–thank you for the inspiration!
Beautiful layout. TFS Glad to see you are scrapping again. I love the design of your pages. I know what you mean about missing your Mom. Mine has been gone 21 years and I still miss her every day.
What an awesome page! I love all the various layering you’ve done!
Wow! This is GORGEOUS! I think you definitely need to pursue scrapbooking weekly! You’re SO good at it!
This is absolutely gorgeous Julia! I love what you did with the pom pom ribbon. I may have to borrow that!
You should scrap more often - your work is beautiful!!! xx
This is so beautiful! I never really know what to do with those elaborately printed patterned sheets (except hoard them!) - this is a wonderful idea.
Julia, I just love your work..your layout is just as gorgeous as your cards. I am sorry about the news regarding Cornish Heritage Farms…but I am so happy you will get to play with other things, such as making more layouts as well. Hugs, Eva
