It’s Thursday and time for another challenge! I think you’ll find this one fun, challenging perhaps but hopefully fun! Today I’m challenging you to use variegated color in your projects. Variegated thread, yarn, ribbon or create your own variegated paper etc. Variegated colors flow from one color into the next and back again. Check out the challenge here.
Bluebird Hello
For this design I decided to make a resist background and sponge on color to get a variegated look. I love how it looks like a patterned paper. I’m always amazed at the different looks I can get with a single stamp. Some other details…
- My latest addiction is Zva crystals. I had a very fun shop a couple weeks ago and they just seem to want to attach themselves to everything!
- The chipboard bird is another chipboard piece from the Heidi Swapp Invisibles line. I love how you can sponge on any color to customize for your project. I had a few e-mails the other day asking for where to find them. Check out Ellen Hutson for a very addictive selection of them.
- I mixed together a lot of different embellishments for a textured look on this project.
