It’s a wonderful thing to work every day with people who are so talented but also have wonderful personalities, stick with you on the good and bad days and just seem to “click” with you. I work with two of those people who have become very dear friends. Becky Olsen is one of them, Lisa Strahl the other. It’s Becky’s birthday today and this card is for her. Now that I think of it, perhaps I should have used some of Becky’s awesome stamps on this design. Instead I used my own. Great friend I know but I think she’ll forgive me. I just couldn’t resist using a few stamps from my August release so you’re getting a super early sneak peek. I designed this card to be fun, sweet, whimsical, colorful and exuberant, just like Becky herself. Happy birthday my friend!
Birth Date Wishes
I paired up some of my new stamps with the Newspaper Ads scrapblock and scraps from a Lemonade 6×6 paper pack by Basic Grey. I seriously cannot get enough of it. Prepare to see lots of it as I cannot bear to throw out a single scrap! For this project I color blocked and stitched it together to form my main background layer.
