I couldn’t resist…

I couldn’t resist this weeks Summer Stamp Star design challenge. Of course I’m not entering but who says I still can’t play along?! I love resist techniques and thought it would be a great time to try out my new Newspaper Ads Scrapblock with a fun technique. That’s one thing I love about stamping. You can stamp simply or you can get a myriad of looks by changing up the technique. For this project I started off by stamping the flowers in different Memento dye inks. I then inked my Scrapblock in Versamark ink and stamped onto the paper. Any embossing ink that is clear will work in the same manner. Cover the ink with Clear embossing powder, remove excess and heat. This clear impermeable embossing with resist any ink placed on top. Lightly sponge on some Distress Ink or other dye ink and then wipe off excess.

If you came here looking for Thursday’s WT challenge. I actually took the week off and Michele Boyer has been so sweet to fill in for me. You can check out her challenge here. Thanks M!

And here’s a link for you….Becky has a great Christmas in July Giveaway on the CHF Creative Blog. Check it out!
