Christmas in July

We’re now well into July. Doesn’t quite feel like it here yet but I’m sure it will soon. Seriously…this has to be the coolest and wettest June/July in my neck of the woods. Sandwiched between the Great Lakes, we usually get a summer full of heat and humidity. I’m enjoying working in this much better but I’d love a little warm weather in time for vacation.

Today we’re going to think cold though and have a little fun for the WT challenge…Christmas in July.  I hope you’ll have fun with the challenge, pull out some holiday stamps and get a little head-start on those creations. Check out the challenge here.

My design for today’s challenge features a new All Things Considered set designed by Becky Olsen. I love the evergreen theme of this set and the classic vintage look.

Compliments of the Season

Quick Tip: For a tiny and controlled touch of sparkle, I love adding “glitter” with a Sakura Stardust Glitter pen in clear. So easy to add with out the mess.

Supply List:

Stamps: Evergreen Holiday (ATC line) by CHF
Ink: Black Memento Ink by Tsukineko, Shabby Shutters Distress ink by Ranger
Paper: Simply Smooth white cardstock by CHF, kraft cardstock by Bazzill, flocked Snowy paper by We R Memory Keepers
Other: sewing machine, edge distresser, ribbon by May Arts, copic markers

Happy stamping!

So lovely Julia. I wish I had a sewing machine…
I love the look of Kraft paper as a base for Christmas cards.

This image is beautiful, and I love what you did for the background (card base) with the evergreens on kraft and the snowy patterned paper - just lovely!!

I love the card, some fresh combination of colors. I really like the evergreens peeking out behind the pattern paper. Nice coloring too!

Beautiful Julia. I especially love the sky you created. It looks so cool and frosty and needing some hot chocolate with marshmellows.

This is just lovely and perfect for winter (so not ready for that though). Love the trees in the background and the scene is colored so beautifully.

Beautiful! I love that Blue sky! It was cool here until last week, but cool again this week. Its about 10 degree’s below normal but I’m not complaining. It was mid 80’s this week! perfect!

Another great card. Particularly like your treatment of the background with the subtle evergreens on kraft paper.
