Yay! It’s release day and here’s a look at the complete set and matching Scrapblock I’ve designed for May…
Reach 4 the Stars

Astronomy Scrapblock

Edited to Add…. Just a quick note to tell you there is a great stamp giveaway on the CHF Creative Blog. Check it out before noon today!
I hope you enjoy this new set and scrapblock. They are perfect for masculine designs. Anyone else have a lot of males in the house? I have 5 so this set will be getting a lot of use. I also couldn’t resist using this set for a more feminine look as well. 2009 is the perfect year to release this set. Did you know that this year is the International Year of Astronomy? There is lots of great star-gazing opportunities this summer. I’m planning on taking my kids to a nearby observatory this summer for a special look at the stars.
Shine Brightly

I created this pretty in pink design for my daughter. By adding rhinestones or stamping in pretty pink colors, this stamp set takes on a whole new look. To create the text background, I simply stamped the image repeatedly. I adore text in designs.Make sure you check out the CHF gallery as there are lots of other samples here. You can find Astronomy & Reach 4 the Stars at Cornish Heritage Farms.

One of the things I’m excited about with tomorrow’s Reach 4 the Stars release is that it has an accompanying Scrapblock background. It’s called Astronomy and you can see part of it used in the following design. I paired it up with the telescope image and the Galileo quote for a masculine look.
Loved the Stars

Supply List:
Stamps: Reach 4 the Stars (The Rummage Bin line) by Cornish Heritage Farms
Ink: Black Memento ink by Tsukineko, Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink by Ranger
Paper: kraft cardstock by Bazzill, Simply Smooth Vanilla by Cornish Heritage Farms, patterned paper by Graphic 45
Other: button by Making Memories, twine, stapler, gaffer tape by 7 Gypsies
In using this stamp set, I also wanted to think a little out of the box with it and try a totally different look. By changing up the ink colors and going with a very simple graphic look, I came up with this fun modern looking birthday card. I love being able to use stamps in a lot of different ways for a lot of different events and try to design versatility into each set.

Do you like stars? I’ve always been fascinated with them. So beautiful, lighting up the night. We’re out in the country a little so the stars are lovely when I pause to look at them but they are much more brilliant when we get away from the city and off to the cottage. We used to live an hour from the city and some of my favorite moments were sitting in the rocking chair by the window in the middle of the night, feeding my babies, talking to God.
Here’s another sneak peek at the new Reach 4 the Stars stamp set. I love this quote…kind of puts things into perspective doesn’t it with a little encouragement. I paired up this masculine themed design with some Graphic 45 patterned paper. The little stars were colored in with a gold gel pen.

I have a VERY simple card to share with you today and it’s also a sneak peek at my latest stamp set. Reach4 the Stars is releasing next Tuesday and I’ve been having fun getting it inky and creating some samples. Today’s design is a simple love card and stamping doesn’t get any simpler than this. I love card designs that you can quickly put together.
{you are my universe}

Quick Tip: Simple cards are best if they feature only one embellishment. This keeps the focus on the design.

This may seem like a bit of an odd title. Especially as I don’t have any “toots” to share with you today. What I do have is a card created with a stamp from a new line that CHF is releasing today…B& O Railroad. The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad line will be a hit with railroad and vintage enthusiasts and I can’t wait to see what new images will be released next.
For this design, I decided to try a very feminine look as this great East & West Historic Poster image had beautiful flowers and vintage cherubs. I very softly colored it in with Copic markers and then sponged the edges. A lot of stitching and Basic Grey Porcelain patterned paper added softness as well.
Vintage East & West

Quick Tip: You can stitch right over your ribbon if you lay it flat. It will keep your ribbon nicely secure and allow you to adhere your top image over the ribbon and still stitch it.
