Simply Saturday…

Published by Julia Stainton at 6:26 am under Card Designs, Cornish Heritage Farms

It’s Saturday! Time to keep it simple. I’m not creating today as I’m busy getting ready for a little birthday party. My baby is turning four! Where does the time go?

Go For It

So this is another one of my clean up the scraps cards. I told you I’d made a lot of cards with the green and torquoise October Afternoon paper. I think this is number 4 that I’ve uploaded and yes, there are still more to come. In case you’re just tuning in…I was having so much fun with this paper than I couldn’t throw out an inch of it. It’s the second paper on the card from the right side of the photo. I added one tiny stamped sentiment from the Mona Lisa Moments Encouragement Expressions set.

Supply List:

Stamps: Encouragement Expressions (MLM line) by Cornish Heritage Farms

Ink: Black Memento Ink by Tsukineko

Paper: Simply Smooth White cardstock by CHF, Coredinations cardstock, patterned paper by Cosmo Cricket, October AFternoon & My Mind’s Eye

Other: sewing machine, rhinestones, staples, flower by Prima

Rock ‘n Roll Medallion

Supply List:
Stamps: Ornamental Beauty (The Rummage Bin line) by CHF
Ink: Pool & lettuce Adirondack inks by Ranger, black memento ink by tsukineko
Paper: Simply Smooth white cardstock by Cornish Heritage Farms
Other: button by Autumn Leaves, ribbon by Creative Impressions, rhinestones

Now my other card I actually created a couple weeks ago for a Splitcoast Clean and Simple Challenge. I made it but never uploaded it. How lame is that?! Anyhow…it did get me stamping and I had wanted to try out this medallion image rock and rolled since I was designing the Ornamental Beauty set. I think it gives it a fun look.

Anyhow…you & I both have lots to do this busy Saturday so I’ll catch you later.

Have a simply wonderful day!

Julia

Gorgeous, Julia. Love the little details that make them so special - the tiny scraps, the staples, the little extra rhinestone - great inspiration!

What a lovely way to use up scraps! The stitched frame adds a wonderful touch, and really elevates this card to the next level. Signature Julia!
Where does the time go, indeed. My baby just turned 3, 4 is going to be tough!

These are both great, J! I would never think to stitch a rectangle like that (on the first card). I love it!

I love the use of scraps! I’ve been wanting to try my hand at sewing on a card - this is just the inspiration I needed - use my scraps AND sew. Love it!
