Birthday Wishes Wednesday
I think I was in a spring mood when I created this design. Posting it today seemed like a great idea as we’re certainly having spring-like weather for the rest of the week. Rain, rain, rain. One of my boys is off to Montreal on his grade eight grad trip. I’m doing the mom-worry thing right now, hoping everything is going well and hoping it’s not too much of a wash.
This sweet cake image is from the Shady Tree Studio line…yum. I paired it up with a journaling piece, some Basic Grey Porcelain patterned paper, Copic markers and some sweet ribbon.

Quick Tip: I know I’ve shared this tip before but I’ve had some questions and thought I’d share again. To zig zag stitch around a circle, you need to have a little patience. I stitch for four or six stitches, leaving the needle in the down position on the outside of the circle, raise the presser foot and slightly pivot. Repeat until your circle is complete. This will make your stitching nice and smooth and even.
