24 hour Mother’s Day Giveaway
I’ve been spending the past week, trying to sort through my stash of goodies once again. I think it must multiply overnight! While sorting the other day, I thought it would be fun to put together a quick Mother’s Day giveaway and share some fun things with you. Now this may be one of the quickest turn-arounds you’ll ever see here because I want to get this out in the mail. I know it’s slow and Mother’s Day is creeping up more quickly than I had thought.
For a chance to win, you must be a mom, have a mom you’ll either share with or make a card for with the goodies or even share with a friend who is a mom. I want to take the time to celebrate those special people in our lives. I miss my mom so much but I am blessed to have a wonderful family and an aunt who is like a mom to me. Simply leave a comment on this post between now and 10 am EST tomorrow. I’ll be drawing one name right away so that I can get it in the mail before the weekend. We don’t have mail here in Canada on Saturdays and I’m hoping the winner will get it in time.

- Paper Crafts magazine May/Jun 2009
- Melissa Frances stickers
- We R Memory Keepers Designer Eyelets
- K & Company Rub-ons
- DCVW Fashion Rub-ons
- Pebbles Inc magnetic clips
- Mother Sentiments rub-ons by Royal & Langnickel

Good luck! Have a great day!

Thanks for sharing the blog candy with us. I love your blog–always inspirational for me. I’d love to use these items to create cards for my mom and mom-in-law.
Oh, Julia, I share your feelings about missing your mom. I lost mine suddenly 10 years ago and still think of her every day. Thanks for the “mom” candy and the reminder of the blessings of all the “moms” in our lives!
Happy mother’s day. I’ve always wanted to be a mom and am so blessed with my kids. I miss my mom too. Mother’s day is happy and sad for me.
We all love our mothers… Thanks for such a beautiful giveaway!
Tanya

What a wonderful gift…a real mom gesture!
I am a mom of 2 and love papercrafting too! We are blessed to have family that we can love and be loved by. Thanks for sharing all of your talent with us, chriss.
Thank you Julia. What a great present.
I am a mom of 3. My mom lives very far away, so I will not be able to make a card WITH her, but I will definitely make a card FOR her.
How sweet of you to do this, Julia! I am a mom of 2. Unfortunately, my Mom is no longer with me, but have a special person in my life who has become my mom/sister. I feel so blessed to have her! Oh, and by the way, I LOVE following your blog! Your talent never ceases to amaze me!
Thank you for the opportunity to win! I have the blessing of being a Mother, StepMother, Adoptive Mother and Grandmother!
Yeah me!!!! I love making cards for all my children and of course, my own Mother.
Thank you for your generosity. My Mom is gone but I’m a Mom and Grandmother of six so my life is still full. I always make my daughter and daughter-in-law a Mother’s Day card — I think Mom’s can never get too much recognition.
I miss my Mom every day! I think of her so often and I am reminded of her in everything I do. Her hands, her laughter, her hugs. God bless Mom’s everywhere! I will be buying a flowering almond bush in her memory - she loved the smell of that in the spring. It sat right near the front door.
Hi Julia. Thank you for the chance to win this lovely ‘candy’. I’m not a mom but I have a mom - she’ll be 81 on May 20th and still going strong as ever. I have a friend that I get together with often for carding days and I’d love to be able to share this with her.
What a nice idea for a giveaway. Thanks for the chance!
Julia, I have to admit that I did not appreciate my own mother until I became a “Mommy”. Now, I have been blessed to have my parents move to be close by and we live a block away from eachother!!! She is my best friend and my daughter and Grandma are two peas in a pod!!! Thanks as always, Sandra
My mom is still with us (of which I am very thankful) but I also had her youngest sister as another ‘mom’ to cherish through the years. They both got me started with stamping and every day that I put ink to rubber, I think of them. This is a great little blog candy. I am a mother of 3 and a grandmom to 8.
Julia, I’m sorry your mother is no longer with you! It’s very sweet of you to think of others during this holiday. I wouldn’t know what to do w/o my mother. We share everything! I’m actually getting her started into stamping….For Mother’s Day I’m going to give her a Hobby Lobby gift card. I’m sure she would love having some of this stash!
I am a mom and grandmother and am fortunate to have my daughter close by. Love to read your blog. Thank you for sharing all your knowledge with us.
Julia this is so nice of you to do!! I am not a Mom but I have an incredible Mom (and Dad too for that matter - ha!)
Thanks for the chance to win!!
Carla
Happy Mothers Day! I am a mom to two, grandma to two and mom to 7 furbabies. I have always loved being a mom. My mother passed away 19 years ago on May 1st and I still miss her terrbly too. They never leave us completely, Thank God! Jackie
How nice of you to think of mom(s)! I was born on Mother’s Day and although my Bday doesn’t always fall on Mother’s Day, mom and I spend the day together…..and now my oldest son and his wife host Mom’s day at their house for all the mothers in our immediate family….and boy the size of the crowd is growing!
I am a mom. No greater calling in life than to have this title. Kids bring more joy, sunshine and happiness into anyones life. It doesn’t matter what the age of your child is. Mine our both married now and I am an empty nester but they always come home. Waiting for the day when I am promoted to the grandmother…then I am sure that will be the highest calling in life.
Thanks
Julia
While I’m not a mom, I have a wonderful mother who is an important part of my life. And she loves handmade cards!
I’m a mom to two girls. I may not always appreciate my mom but this year my heart is breaking for her heart. She’s gone to visit my sister in BC. Yes, I live in Canada too. My sister isn’t making good life choices so my mom has gone to try to help her make some good choices to get on the right road. They both need prayer at this time.
Thanks for the chance to win.
An early Happy Mother’s Day to you. I am blessed with still having my Mom…she is just super! Thanks for a chance to win this awesome blog candy!
I am not a mom but I have a cousin who has just given birth to a baby boy. She is younger than me. I think she was so brave to have a child as she is not married for long. I wish I had her courage! I really admire her.
I cannot say how much I ADORE your blog… or how many times I have needed your advice at just the right time!!
I am not a mom, but have been praying for God to make me a Mommy for over four years. Winning this little contest would mean more than I can say.
So, if I win, I promise to make Mother’s Day cards for my Mom, Stepmom, Grandmother, and even the “Spiritual Moms” in my life who all deserve to be told over and over how much their nurturing has meant to me.
Blessings, :)stacy
What a great assortment of goodies! Thanks so much for a chance to win them. I still have my mom so I am very greatful to share another year with her. I know that one of these days she’ll be gone, but I’ll have wonderful memories of her.
I am not a Mom,and my Mother is sadly missed as is yours. But I do have a Mother in Law and my sis is a wonderful Mom,so I’m sure I could use these great goodies!
Thanks for a chance to win!!!
I am blessed to be a mom to 3 wonderful teenage boys. and I know what you mean about those crafting supplies just mulitplying!
I am mom to a wonderful, smart, funny 10-yr old daughter. I am blessed to have a wonderful mom and mother-in-law. I don’t live near my mom, so I miss seeing her as often as I’d like. Thanks for the chance to win this wonderful prize.
What a wonderful gesture!!! I am not a mom myself, yet, but am very close with my mother, and getting to know my mother in law, who loves my creations good or bad! I love your blog and creations..they inspire me everytime! thank you!
Have a wonderful mothers day!
What a generous gift! Thanks for sharing with us! Have a wonderful Mother’s Day! Cathy
I have been wanting to make my mother and mother in-law a card for mothers day. I feel like it would be more personal! I love all the cute things you have to giveaway.
I lost my mom about 13 years ago and Mother’s Day is still hard for me. My daughter, however, always manages to give me the best Mother’s Day cards though. She always knows the right thing to say. Since I’ve been making and selling cards, I’ve enjoyed making them for my friends’ Mom’s the most. They call me every year to see when I will have them done so they can get first pick. It makes not having my mom around a little easier….knowing they care enough to send a handmade card picked especially for their mom.
Happy Mother’s Day to you Julia! I don’t think any of my kids will be home for Mother’s Day, but DH and I got to spend last Sunday with our son, and both my girls and I make cards together every chance we get.
I appreciate your generosity!
Happy early mom day, Julia. I am a mom and I have been blessed with a mother who has been my rock and helping me raise my children alone. She is very valuable and loved. I am thankful to have her in my life and my childrens. She is truly amazing.
This Mother’s Day finds me so introspective… I am wanting to craft more and wish I could do so with my own mom. So, I know how you feel…
Loving learning about mothering through all that I am doing around this time.
I would love to win this! I have yet to finish (okay okay I mean start!) cards for my mom, my bfs mom and grams! I am pretty much covered for your restrictions I think!! haha!
Thank you for the offer and hope you have a great M’s day with your kids…hope you blog about it…
What a beautiful and generous give-away! I’m lucky enough to be a mom to 2 growing boys, and still have my mom living close by.
What a fantastic giveaway! I am mom to a beautiful three year old little girl. I also have a wonderful mom and an ok MIL.
I would love to win your giveaway Julia! It looks like such fun stuff…I’ll be happy to take it off your hands;)! I am a mom of 2 wonderful boys, and I wouldn’t trade my blessings in a million years!
I both have a mom and am a mom….I’d love to share with my mom and daughter!! What a sweet giveaway!!
What a wonderful way to celebrate Moms! I often give my Mom a card (handmade, natch!) just because. Sometimes it’s a thank you, but trumped up to be a big deal, cos I know she loves setting the cards out on the piano with her pics of the grand kids and all. My best friend and I share all kinds of ideas and products as we make cards together, in both french & English.
Two gals and their Moms will all be over the moon to win these wonderful toys!
Thanks for the chance to win, Julia.
Great giveaway Julia, and so nice of you to do this. I would love to win it. My mom was killed in an accident over 20 years ago. I still miss her, but I have 2 lovely daughters, 2 step-daughters and granddaughters that I love to make things for. We always celebrate Mother’s Day together and it is so nice. I wish you a Happy & Blessed Mother’s Day also.
JoAnn
Wow Julia! What an amazing give-away for Mother’s Day. I’ve always loved the gifts my children picked out for me over the years. And my Mother is my best friend - don’t want to think what I would do without her! Hugs to you and Happy Mother’s Day (a bit early).
Thanks for the chance to win! I’m a SAHM to the sweetest little one ever!
Julia,
You are so sweet to be doing this. My mom is 79 years young and I’m so blessed to still have her. She only retired from working when she was 78.
I plan on making a card for her for Mother’s Day and I’m working on making a stash of cards for her to give away. She really can’t afford to mail cards anymore, so I like to help her out.
thanks for the opportunity and beautiful artwork you creat for us.
Debbie
I finally get to celebrate Mother’s Day! I have 2 small children now, and my son is just starting to understand that it is a special ‘mommy day’.
I am a mother and even though I no longer have my mother around my daughter is a new mom, and I would love to win the give-away so I could make a card for her and my dear sister. I love your website and check it each day for inspiration.
Currently, my daughters and I are living with my mom while my husband is deployed to the Middle East for a year. I’ve been making cards for years and got my mother creating her own cards a few years ago. We both look forward to creating together while we are living together. It’s wonderful to hear your story and see an example that even when our moms aren’t here with us there are others who support us just like they would. Thank you for your great blog and amazing creativity.
Julia, I totally miss my mom too. She passed away 19yrs ago the week after Mothers Day. My kids know it’s a hard day for me to celebrate but make me try to celebrate it anyways. I love them for it. Hugs for you as Mother’s Day approaches.
What a great gift package! What a great way to celebrate moms! Thank you for the chance to win and thank you for the daily inspiration!
Ooh, such a nice collection of mom candy! Thanks for offering! I still have a mom and a mother-in-law to make cards for, so I am blessed.
I am mom to a four legged furry kiddo! I hope this counts. Otherwise I would gladly make a card for my friends who are mothers and I do have a step mother-in-law who I will make a card for. Yes, I do miss my mom a lot too. Looks like a lot of fun goodies esp that BG Sugared paper! Hope you have a great Mother’s Day. Thanks for sharing Julia
I’m so thankful to still have a mom. She’s all we have left.
What a great idea and thanks for the chance. Hug’s Nellie.
i am an expecting mom! 8 weeks… this “mom” business is really hard!! i am hoping that the morning sickness goes away.

I’m a mom of two grown guys but I do miss my Mom who died 15 years ago. I make and send cards each year to special older “mom friends “at church sharing that I treasure their friendship.

Thanks Julia and hope you have a wonderful Mother’s Day.
I am a mom to four and have a wonder mother-in-law. It would mean a lot to her to give her something handmade on Mother’s Day. Thank you for offering this wonderful giveaway.
Thank you for the chance for goodies! I am a mom of three wonderful boys who make me love being a mom. I’m also fortunate enough to have my mom and mother-in-law nearby.

I am a mom of two daughters and very fortunate to have my 93 year old mom as well. I’ll be sure to make her something extra special.
Thanks for thinking of the moms! I am blessed with five children and have an adopted mother for whom I make cards. Have a wonderful Mother’s Day!
Hi Julia,
I understand how you miss your mom because I do too. Mothers Day is such a blessed holiday. I am a mom of three and have three grandsons, two granddaughters and two great-granddaughters. I don’t see my granddaughters or their two daughters much, but see my grandsons a lot. Children are such a joy when growing up (as you well know). I wish all moms a very happy mothers day
I am a Mom of two young daughters who are both Mom’s as well.Three grandchildren and we are anxiously awaiting a little girl grand child from Ethiopia through an adoption.
I no longer have my own Mother here with me but I am blessed to have a terrific Mom in-law.
Thanks for thinking of all of us moms. Happy Mothers day to you all.
As always - you rock. Thank you for the opportunity!
I too have lost my mom. I am a mom though, and my grown-up daughter loves to come to Mom’s SB room to play. I love it when she does! Spending time together, no matter what we’re doing, is the best time!
What a great giveaway, I am a mom and I have 3 moms to make cards for for Mothers Day and I only have one done so any inspiration would be wonderful!
What a fabulous give away! My Mama lives in Northern Idaho. Its not easy during the Winter months to visit because of all the snow in the Mountains. I haven’t seen her since September.. The longest that I can remember. She had a trip planned in March but all flights were canceled because of snow! She’s going to try again mid May… I think the week after Mothers Day! I hope it works out! I can hardly wait to see her and give her a big hug and kiss!
Hi Julia,
I am sure that it helps to have an aunt that is like a mom to you, but only a mom knows how much her children mean and vice versa….I’m hoping you have a wonderful Mother’s Day. I adore my two kids - they make my day!
hugs,
Elaine
What a thoughtful giveaway Julia, thank you! I am so blessed to have not only my mom, but a fantastic mother-in-law too; they both turned 79 this year; over the past few months, I’ve been having my mom over and stamping with her; she has thouroughly enjoyed learning how to make cards and even more, sending them out with a note that says “I made this”!!! Now I just wish I had started crafting with her sooner!
I hope your Mother’s Day is filled with special memories of your dear mom!
Kathy Camasso
Thank you for such a beautiful site; I love your creativity. Motherhood is a true blessing and I believe that my daughter is teaching me more than I am teaching her. It is such a gift to have a piece of your heart outside your body but with the fingerprints of GOD all over them.
Wow. .. what a fun batch of stuff to win! I’m a mom to three boys and I’ll get to have my mom here with us on Mother’s Day this year!! That’ll be nice for a change. My mom is awesome. . .always there when I need someone to talk to. I hope that I’ll be the same for my kids!
Yes, I’m a mom and SO happy to have 2 wonderful, beautiful children. It truly is the best job anyone can have! Thanks for the chance to win this awesome blog candy!
What a nice gesture. Thank you for sharing your talent with us every morning - my must-read first thing. Have a very Happy Mother’s Day with your wonderful family (I’m sure they are as great as they sound from your writings about them).
I got both of my sisters into scrapbooking and they are also moms. I have plenty of scrap goodies, so I would definitely share with them!
Oh yeah, I’m a mom but my mom is gone also. But I’m adopted so I’ll make her something cool! and my kids like always!
My mom is all thats left My father passed 2 years a go. I am a mom to 4 kids . I am raising my autistic grandson. Thanks for the chance to win. susan
This is so nice of you. Thanks for sharing with us!
Robbie
I tend to think that mothering goes beyond physically having children of your own. And cardmakers everywhere who send handmade gifts of their time and talents find themselves caring for and mothering many people. In many ways, I think our hobby is all about mothering. Thanks for sharing gifts that help remind us of that.
This is such a nice gesture, Julia! Thank you so much. I’m a mom to two fabulous kids and I couldn’t imagine my life without them. I don’t get to see my mom very much but she’s always there when I need her. Thanks again for the wonderful giveaway!
Christine in Ottawa
What a nice Mother’s Day present. I am the mother of two grown daughters and miss my own mother who passed away 5 years ago. Thought of her lots today as my sister and I were flower shopping, she always loved to go with us. tfs
Aw, I miss my mom too! I am a mom to a 26-year old daughter, and I have two mothers-in-law (one’s a step!) and they are both absolutely wonderful, I love them all! But I know what you mean about your mom. I can still hear her voice in my head, the intonation of it as she spoke my name! Thanks for such a wonderful chance to win such nice items! I enjoy all your work so much.
LeAnne
Whoa this looks like an uber sweet mother’s day goodies. Would love to use to make cards. Pick me.
What a great idea. I have so much stuff I should share with others too!!!
I’m a busy mom of three (7,3,2)!!! My mom isn’t a crafter but I still need to make her card. Guess I better get to work
What a great giveaway!!
I love to make cards and this would help get me in the mood to make my Mom a nice one this year!!
I would love to share these with my mom! I love making cards with her and we often “borrow” eachother’s supplies. I guess share is a better term since they don’t usually end up back in the stash!
Happy (early) Mother’s Day, Julia! I feel so blessed to be a Mom and a Grandma and I count my blessings that my Mom (age 83) is still alive. It’s just so wonderful to have memories of the things we did with our Mothers. Thanks for a chance to win the loot. :o)
How sweet of you Julia! I’m a mom! *waving hands in the air* I appreciate every day being my son’s mother. Us adopting him has been such a highlight in my life! Hugs!

Very nice idea!! I’m a mommy of 2 little guys. I still have my mom and a wonderful mom-in-law! I’m very blessed. I will be busily making cards all wekend to get them just right, lol. Thanks agin.
What a lovely blog candy you’ve put together. Thank you for offering it! I am a Mom but would also love to make something pretty for my Mother.
Hi Julia, I am a daughter and a mother and a grandmother (lucky, lucky me ;-). My mom passed away several years ago, but I will always cherish my memories of the last Mother’s Day she was able to spend with the family. However, moving forward we should all honor our mothers by living our lives to enjoy life, our children and their children and celebrate each and every day that is a gift to us!
What a great idea for a giveaway! I am a mom to 2 and I love to make cards. My mom is also a crafter but she prefers to make little books. Regardless, I’ll make a card for her rather than with her.
Hi Julie, What a wonderful thought. This is a nice way to honor your Mom even though she is no longer with you. My Mom will turn 83 this May. She is still has a strong body but we are losing her mind to Alzhiemer diease. So I cherish the time we have together now. Thanks for the chance of some blog candy. This is very generous of you. Enjoy your Mother’s Day.
The giveaway is great but I like the gentle reminder to take a moment to love and appreciate our mothers and others close to us. I enjoy your site!
How sweet you are, Julia, to make such a generous offer.
Thanks for the gif a way…voor ever one happy mothersday..
Hugs,Willy

Val
What a sweet giveaway. I would love to use this to make cards for my mom and my mother-in-law. I would also share the goodies with my sister in law who is going to be a mom herself later this year. Thank you so much for the chance to enter!
I have a wonderful mom, and I am a mom (I hope a wonderful one too!).
What a wonderful candy!
Not only my mother gets tons of handcrafted cards (and bookmarks, magnets,…), but also my maunt. She’s more than an aunt to me, and because she calls me her daughter, I call her maunt. A mixture between mom and aunt.
So every Mother’s Day, I’m not only thanking my mother for how wonderful she is, but also my maunt for loving me like one of her own.
Thanks for the chance to win!
I’m a mother of 2, boy 6 and girl 3, they are my life. Thanks for the chance to win some (awesome) candy.
Happy Friday everyone! What a great give away!
Moms are the backbones of our families! I too lost my Mom early and envy those who still have their Moms. Love your
blog Julia.
Glynda
Ooo, wouldn’t I love to make a card with my mom with these! I love to make my own cards and now I have inspired my mom to make cards, too, so this would be a lovely giveaway for us to share and make cards together.
