It’s here! Release day for the new Ornamental Borders Scrapblock! I had so much fun designing this stamp to go with the Ornamental Beauty set. I think it totally stands on its own though or you could mix it up with other stamps as well. There’s a few key elements that I really love about this stamp. It’s different from a lot of background style stamps as it really varies the pattern throughout the stamp, you easily use it vertically or horizontally no matter what your card orientation and you’ll notice it has a great ornamental edge that looks great if you only want to stamp part of your surface.
Ornamental Borders
Stitched Borders Friendship
I created this card a little taller (6 x 3.75″) so that I could stamp the entire stamp onto this design. To add some subtle interest, I pierced each of the dots on the dotted border sections of the image. You could also pierce them and leave them as is for a pierced look or add little dots of rhinestones or liquid pearls for embellishment. I just love this soft New Sprout ink color with the Natural cardstock. I think I’ve found the wall color for my upcoming craft room.
Quick Tip: When piercing holes for a running stitch, you want to make sure you have an even number of holes so that your stitching can start and end under the card front. If you do mess up and pierce an odd number, just go back and fill in the rest of the stitches to make it look like a backstitch. A little more work but you’ll be happier with the results in the end.
Have a beautiful day!
