Good morning! Wishing you a beautiful Good Friday! I had hope to have an Easter design to share with you today but it was a short week and it just got away from me. It’s a holiday here in Canada today and we’re off to spend a beautiful day with my hubby’s family. Turkey and lots of goodies makes the day extra special too.
Now I want to get to the winner of the stamp set and goodies right away. Thanks so much for all the beautiful comments you all left. I tell you, I had tears in my eyes over some of them. There truly is beauty everywhere. I once again used the trusty on-line random integer generator and this time, number thirteen is totally lucky! Congrats to Amy Tsuruta for winning the stamps and embellishments. Enjoy! Please e-mail me with your address and I’ll get them in the mail to you after the weekend. The one thing I hate about giveaways is I’d love to give everyone something and unfortunately, I just can’t make that happen. Hang in there though as I have more planned and soon!

This is kind of a mixed media card. I paper pieced the dress on this lovely lady and then stamped the image on Kraft and yes…colored it with colored pencils. A little stitching and some pink goodies finish off the design. The stamp is called Pastoral Woman and is one of the latest new Saturday Evening Post releases from CHF.
Quick Tip: While you can’t see it in either shot because of the angle of the ribbon, I cut out the area between her right arm and her body to that the background would show through and look right. It’s easy to cut out those tiny inside elements using a craft knife and my Scor-Mat.
