Simply Saturday, simply Kinkade

I adore simple cards. Those with a clean fresh look. The other day I challenged myself to make an ultra-simple, ultra-clean Thomas Kinkade design. I honestly wasn’t sure exactly how it was going to turn out. There is no special technique, no layers. I’m actually pleased with how it turned out though. There’s lots of white space and that beautiful green makes me think of spring. It IS coming, right?! Actually, we’re taking a little day trip today to see the swans returning. I hope I can get some photos!

If you love the Thomas Kinkade stamp line, you may have noticed this is a brand new stamp. Friendship Cottage is sooo pretty! It stamps so well in monochromatic that it really doesn’t need more. Of course you CAN color it and I have another Friendship Cottage design to share with you in a few days.  This new stamp is a NEW size that Cornish Heritage Farms is releasing. I’m loving the smaller dimensions and the vignette size. It really allowed me to play around with the design a little more. Friendship Cottage will be release on Tuesday March 24th from Cornish Heritage Farms.

Quick Tip: Like this smaller size but want to try it out with the Kinkade stamps you already own? Just mask off an area and stamp the portion of your image that you want in the space.
