Great picks, sounds like a wonderful fun day out.
Sorry no help for the ink pads, I just have my few stored in a couple shallow plastic drawers.

Wonderful pictures, and your boys are darling! Glad you had a nice day. As far as ink storage, a friend and I recently purchased some from Michael Wiggons at OrganizeMore. They are reasonably priced, well made, and they now hang on my wall and look great and are the best storage solution for me. He is very accommodating as well, so I'd urge you to give him a look-see. http://www.organizemore.com/. I'd be happy to share a photo or two of my set-up if you wish. Thanks again for all your inspiration!

Hi Julia,

To store all my inkpads - I bought a couple of cheap, freestanding CD towers made out of metal. Each holds about 160 CD cases - all within easy reach of my stamping workspace.

I sorted all my inkpads by color story (brights, muted, metallics etc) and then turned them all over and affixed them to CD covers using double sided tape (I separated each of my CD cases to give me two 'trays').

Now when I need an inkpad - I grab a color 'pallette' and turn it over to make a selection from the color range.

You can fit nine small inkpads or two large inkpads on each 'pallette'.

Here's a couple of snaps to show you how I do it:

Hope your find your storage solution soon!
Happy Stamping!

Hi Julia,
There's a discussion on Splitcoaststampers.com about inkpad storage: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=406438&highlight=ink+pad+storageI hope that gives you some ideas, especially the one you can make yourself for the SU inks for about $6.00 (American probably).

Oh wow! Brought back some great memories! I unfortunately only did the sugar bush thing once, couple of yrs ago while living in Ottawa. I was suprised that the maple sap looked like water.

The guy who owned the farm had a little cottage where he setup the pancakes, becon and all the other good stuff. On the fireplace inside there was a big kettle cooking deer meat (one and only time I had it!) on the outside fire he was heating up the syrup. After we stuffed ourself and the syrup was ready he dropped spoonfuls of the syrup on the snow to make little candy's! What a great day!

OH my goodness, julia! those pictures are fabulous! it looks like ya'll had a great time and yes, you got a good one in the hubby department! for inkpad storage, i use an old cassette tape wooden holder that my neighbor spraypainted white for me. it has 100 slots. they are a little hard to find--my husband still had it from the 80's with all his KISS and AC/DC tapes in it (LOL!), but i have seen them on ebay pretty cheap. i have it hanging on my wall over my desk, as i have taken over only a small corner in our bedroom and don't have much room either. i'd be happy to send you some measurements or pictures!
