Wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too Cute!

Seriously…it had never crossed my mind that I would become a gnome fan. But…. I have to admit that when I first saw this little gnome, I squealed. So super cute! My second thought… I HAVE to paper piece him. I think the fun results were well worth the time. Kim has two incredible releases once again and release day is tomorrow. I just couldn’t wait until then to share this design. Hope you like it as much as I do!

Whimsical Gnome

To paper piece an image, it’s easiest if there are clear defined areas such as this gnome image. Plan ahead what layer will be what paper. Start by cutting out and adhering the layers that are furthest in the image and work towards the front. I’m not sure if you can see it in this photo, but I added some shading  to the face and under the mustache with a Copic Toner Gray No. 1 marker.

Quick Tip: Paper piecing is easy with a pack of papers from the same line. They all coordinate so well.

Have some fun today! I’m off to the dentist so I’m SURE you’ll have more fun than I!
