Having a Blast

Well…I’m having a blast!I’ve been busy stamping and learning and have two things to share with you today. A digital layout as well as a card. First the card. I went for a fun retro look for this design combining, red, brown, Kraft, dots and of course, the toadstools. They are so super trendy right now! Wonderful Toadstools is the toadstool and sentiment combo that is the Cornish Heritage Farms Stamp of the Month for March.

Retro Toadstools

This is a super economical design. Very few layers and just a knot of ribbon for an embellishment makes it fun to create and won’t break the bank. I also just love this quote sentiment. I can think of so many ways to use it!

Supply List:

Stamps: Wonderful Toadstools, Pin Dot Scrapblock by Cornish Heritage Farms

INk: White pigment ink by Clearsnap, Rich Cocoa Memento ink by Tsukineko

Paper: Kraft cardstock by Prism

Other: ribbon by Creative Impressions, sewing machine, white gel pen by Signo, colored pencils by Prismacolor

Quick Tip: I just love the look of this Pin Dot Scrapblock stamped in white pigment ink on kraft cardstock. Pigment ink is a bit of a pain to clean up and I know I’ll be using this look again. My quick tip is to stamp a few 6×6 Kraft sheets while the ink is out and the stamp is dirty. Saves time to stamp them all at once! If you love it, stamp it a few times to have on hand.

 What a Splash

Wow, wow, wow! The Digi in Deep Jessica Sprague course is not just a notch above the others, it is a few! I’m still trying to unravel my brain but I DID complete the layout. I’m boggled with all the new things I’ve learned already.  I’m thrilled though with my new layout and just had to share with you. You can click on it to get a closer look at the detail. I ended up with about 40 layers in the layers palette and that’s AFTER merging a lot of them. All the elements come as part of the course so I’m not going to try and list them here.

Have a great day!

The card is a real cutie and you’re right, you could use those words for lots of things and then, for nothing at all! A great “just because” card.

I love your digi page. I need to take one of her classes. I’m pretty much self taught and I know there has to be a bunch of shortcuts that I don’t know.

Your card is so pretty. I love how you cut the sentiment into strips
