Ahoy there!

Ahoy there! No…unfortunately I’m not off on a cruise. I’m just like this little pirate, pretending I’m set for warmer seas and an adventure. Saturday evening hubby and I headed off for Home Depot to buy a tropical plant for the kitchen. My kitchen is almost done but I’m still recovering from all the renovation expenses so this is going to be the extent of my decorating for now. Filling in the “hole” in the corner. While we were at the checkout someone mentioned it (being the plant) looked like Florida. I responded by saying it was as close as I was going to get. 😉 Truly…for all the griping you must think I do here about winter, I really don’t mind it that much.

Ahoy

This little pirate was so much fun to color. I airbrushed the background to create the sky. Don’t worry if the airbrushing is not even, it looks more natural that way. I created my own little “x marks the spot” embellishment by pulling out a chipboard x, covering it with black ink and tying it with a little cord. I paired it up with one of my favorite Cosmo Cricket papers, the Little Boy paper pack.

Happy Monday!
