Starry Eyed … a challenge

jks-bear-hugs-slice.jpg

I’m excited to be back hosting the weekly Ways to Use it Challenge on Splitcoaststampers after a much-needed holiday break. This week you’ll be seeing stars as the challenge is to find ways to use them. Whether you use star die-cuts, stamps, brads, shapes, star designs on patterned paper…I can’t wait to see how you incorporate stars into your design. I hope you’ll play along…check out the challenge here.

I actually totally went off on a tanget with this card design. Originally I was thinking of using some star stamps and a clear star die-cut. Perhaps I’ll still have to make that design at a later date. This layout popped into my head and I was trying to figure out what stamps to combine it with. Cowboy? Love? You’re a star?  All of a sudden Bear Hugs popped into my mind and then this campfire, starry night scene. I hope you like it because I was bouncing I was having so much fun making it.

Bear Hugs

Anyone like camping?! I do in small doses. Actually…it’s been almost seven years since I’ve been. We’re not too good at the packing. It took us two van loads of stuff, we only had 3 children at the time and we still forgot things. Actually…it was May 24th long weekend here and it actually snowed. Brr……. I guess that’s why we’re still trying to get up the nerve to try again! LOL

Quick Tip: Create a night sky using dots of white gel pen. Try using dots of glitter for a fun sparkly look as a variation.

Happy stamping!
