In the Valley
I love this sentiment… It’s so true! It’s only from the valley that the mountains seem high. No matter who we are there are times that we spend in the valley. From the highs of joy to the lows of struggle or sadness. I’ve been reminded lately while doing a Bible study (Stepping Up by Beth Moore) that without the valleys, we don’t have as much appreciation for the mountains or high points of our experience. As I start this new year, I’m committed to stepping up on my journey and appreciating the blessings along the path. No matter where you are in your journey, take time to look up.

Beautiful card Julia. I’ve been in that valley lately and needed just a little reminding that the mountains really aren’t that high after all.
We did that bible study too! It’s a good one! I love anything by Beth Moore! She is so challenging! Great card too!
Oh I love this very pretty, that is a great quote!
Beautiful card and that sentiment is awesome.
Beautiful card and great sentiment. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for your great inspiration. We all need that at times and it is very fitting to start the new year with this in mind. Donna
Love your card and sentiment. This reminds me of an older Billy Graham devotional that has stayed with me all these years-since 1986. Part of the forward reads “we were not made for mountaintop experiences alone. We are made for the valley of life. God will sometimes allow us a view from the hills, but only so that we might be refreshed enough to return to the valley-where the action is-that we might be of service to Him. Mountaintops are for views and inspiration, but fruit is grown in the valleys”.
Lovely thought, Julia. Thank you.
