Vintage

Happy Monday! I have another Holiday design to share with you today. I know it’s only September but it’s never too early to get working on those Christmas cards. I make each one unique. I have an extremely strong aversion to making more than one of the same design. While this may seems like a lot of work to some, I get such a joy from creating something new that it is the best part for me.

I love the vintage look for Christmas. Now I know you’ve seen this paper scored before,  I created this design from one of the leftover scraps from creating that project. I have the hardest time throwing anything away! I’m glad I kept it though as it added some extra texture to this design and Cosmo Cricket Wonderland, is one of my favorite Christmas papers.

As today is Monday,  I usually have a challenge for you here. Inspired by Kim Hughes…this week some of the CHF designers decided to make their own fabulous stamped blog banners so that is the challenge for today. Check them out…Kristine, Jennifer, Lesley.

 Vintage Christmas

This scroll frame is the same one from the Art of Framing set that I used on Friday’s design. It’s changed up with a different sentiment and this time, I stamped it on a scrap of Clear Card Sheet (see…told ya I don’t throw anything away! 😉 ) with some Timber Brown Stazon Ink. To embellish the design, I painted my Grungeboard heart and wings with Distress Crackle Paint. I’ve been hanging onto these darling little metal charms from Imaginesce for a while…hoarding them actually. I finally decided I just have to USE them. You may be seeing more soon! 😉 Do you have things you like to hoard? If so…I’d love to hear what they are!

Take care and have a great day!
