Hi, Thank you for so much great information. My local stamp store sells the orginal and now I am comfused on purchasing more markers. I have just 3 copic original markers and I really love the results that I get.

After reading the articles on line and the location to purchase them I am confused on what type I should invest in.

I do believe that there is more colors in the sketch markers than the orginal.

Would you be able to give me any additional advice on my purchase. Thank you for the web site as well.

Oh, I am SO bookmarking this page! I have just begun researching inkstamping and looking at various projects people are posting about on their blogs, and I kept hearing about Copic markers but not having any idea what they were all about. Your information here is terrific -- thank you!

Hi Julia! What a small world!! My sister Denise sent me an e-mail today to tell me how helpful a blogger by the name of Julia Stainton was with her questions on Copics. Of course I had to tell her right away that we were DD together! Thanks for all the tips on Copics - we're just beginning to learn this together.

Hope all is well Julia! Really love your blog!!

Thank you so much for listing the stamping inks that work well with these markers. (I tried stazon and others and was dissapointed. I have lately been using Brilliance but it needs drying time before I can apply the markers) I have only been introduced to these in just these past few days and am so excited. It is also nice to know that I can get them cheaper that I have been (at 6.89/marker). Your article has answered many questions and I will forward it on to my sister who is also falling quickly in love with the copic markers!
I love the samples!

Hi Julia...wow great info on the copic markers. I have not jumped on the band wagon as of yet, but I'm definiately leaning that way.
I noticed you have not mentioned Papertrey white paper - can this be used or will it bleed on it.
Also, staz on or palette inks not advised???
Thanks for all the info

Hi Julia....I completely agree with everything you have written concerning Copics. I have several and find I never want to color with anything else...I have to make myself go to other coloring techniques. I purchased my first set of sketch markers from Ellen Hutson, then ordered some additional colors from Eclectic Paperie, and then found Carpe Diem to give me the best individual marker price...and just in case your readers have not heard, Carpe Diem's price per sketch marker is not the $4.95 price they post, but rather, $3.95 each....the lower price shows up when you view your cart, but I think this offer will only be available through the end of this current year. I don't have the airbrush system yet...but maybe someday I will. Just thought I'd add my less than 0.2 cent opinion on these fabulous markers. Oh, and like you, I do own the 'other' brand of alcohol markers, but, once I tried Copics, I was convinced my money could have been better spent....these are by far, the best marker, giving the best results....again, my little humble opinion.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and added information on using these markers for great results. I have not tried some of the inks you discussed as being compatible with the markers, but I will now...wink, wink! Thanks for all you do to help us perfect are coloring adventures!
Hugs, Barb g
