I get by….

As per a suggestion…I’m keeping this at the top. Please scroll down to view the latest post.:)

I get by with a little help from my friends…. πŸ™‚ So….I don’t usually do this but I’m asking for a little help. I entered a BHG Scrapbooks Etc. Summer Challenge contest and I made the top 10 for this Embellishment challenge. Hmmmmmm….wonder why I entered that one? πŸ˜‰ Now I need votes to win. Over the next week, if any of you would be SO kind to vote for me, I’m most appreciate it. You can vote once each day for the next week. The layout is below… I’ll be blogging the supply and close-ups details in the next few days. πŸ™‚ Just click on the below link to go vote. πŸ™‚

Score….

Scoring….it’s one of those things I always forget to do. I have fabulous teflon bonefolder, an old Fiskars trimmer with the scoring blade and yet often as not…simply fold my card in half and press the crease with my fingers. Believe it or not…I FINALLY broke down and purchased a Score-Pal. I’m loving it! I didn’t think it would be quite so light and easy to store. Space is definitely at a premium for me! I decided that scoring would be a great challenge for today. We originally did a scoring challenge hmmmmm…. a couple years ago? It’s definitely time, right? So today…I hope you’ll play along with the Ways to Use Scoring Tools Challenge. Enjoy!

Also today…the latest Kim Hughes release hits the CHF store. You are going to adore Christmas Critters and Heart Warmers! They are just too cute! We’re celebrating Christmas in July at CHF this month and each order gets a surprise gift. Fun, right?

I decided to try out my new Score-Pal on this beautiful Cosmo Cricket paper. I love how you can still see the pattern but it just takes it up a notch. Gotta love it when it doesn’t take any extra money…just a minute or two of your time. I was having a hard time bringing myself to cover it up so here was my solution…create a “layer” by simply stitching a frame around where I would normally place a layer. I think it’s a pretty fun idea and love how it ties my design together. Image is colored in with Copic Markers and then cut out. I then embellished it with some simple Creative Impressions brads and ribbon and a little more stitching. The Cosmo Cricket paper is from one of my favorite paper pads….the 8×8 Wonderland pad. I get mine from Jacksonbelle who is having a 20% off sale on her entire store from now until Monday. Just use the code “fourth”. Have fun!

Finally…. thanks SO much to all of you who are voting for my layout! I really appreciate it! I can’t tell you how much!!! You guys are the best!!! If you’re just stopping in and missed last night’s post…just scroll below. I can use all the help I can get! πŸ™‚

Have a great day!
