Simply Saturday….simply blessed

Published by Julia Stainton at 6:04 am under Card Designs

I just adore this chipboard sentiment from Scenic Route Paper Co. I am blessed. So true and yet so many times I take it for granted. I decided to create a card with this sentiment, inside reads…to have a friend like you. Pink and orange are currently one of my favorite color combos. Who would have thought it?! You would never wear them together. Or maybe you would! I just bought a new skirt for church that is brown with pumpkin and bright pink throughout the pattern. I love it! I seem to have been stuck lately in a very black wardrobe. This is sooo much more fun!

I am Blessed

This is just a quick scrappy card I made for fun. It’s one of those cleaning up my room cards. I always find a lot of goodies laying around and it’s so much easier to make them into a card than put them away! ;) About an inch was trimmed off the front right edge of the card to add the cool fringe and peek into the middle of the design. Prima flower and rhinestones from Jacksonbelle Embellishments. BTW…Lindsey has the Basic Grey Euphoria collection in stock. I just had to break down and buy some. I really needed more paper! Yah, right! If you believe that I have a bridge to sell you too! ;) Just couldn’t resist!

Hope your day is “simply” fabulous,

Julia

Supply List: Paper: My Mind’s Eye, cardstock by Prism, Other: circle cutter by EK Success, buttons by My Mind’s Eye, flower by Prima, rhinestones by MAMBI, felt arrow by Maya Road, ribbon by Making Memories, chipboard by Scenic Route Paper Co.

I love pink and orange together. I have a skirt with those colours as well as a tank top. I also have some patterned paper in those colours that I have yet to “break into”.

    Love your card.

Pretty paper and a pretty card! It’s a just right combination of pink and orange–which, although it sounds like an odd combo, can be absolutely delicious. This card is evidence of that!
